very strange.I just went back to check my HL a/c and I definitely got 65%,as my secure message says.

HL gave me 74.655% and Mrs 75.03%.
This difference cannot be explained by rounding number of shares up or down.
Hl state in a secure message to me that excess elections have been scaled back to 75.65904%
I await the promised secure message providing full details of these share allocations.

Brokers have no idea what's going on.
Today I had the whole of my open offer subscription reversed!

All fine on Youinvest, shares appeared and tradeable on time as per their message last week.

I've had a reply to my complaint to Selftrade about the length of time this is taking, they have confirmed: "We will be crediting customer's accounts with refund payments due to the scale back of the offer. I can not confirm when the funds will be credited, but you will be advised when these funds are returned"

So that's cleared that up then...

Ineptitude and lack of communication for a start - the shares didn't appear until late yesterday afternoon - a full day after they were tradeable and they have still yet to communicate any details post 30th September.

I've been with them since 1984 and they are normally pretty timely, but this isn't really acceptable from a FTSE100 company.

I'm with HL and can see the additional shares I received via the open offer. What's the problem?

Try The Share Center.........you will get service but it seems not with HL and the others who don't spend capital on IT.

I have finally received my allocation, also got 74.7% of my application, am with Selftrade too. I haven't yet received back my cash from the shares I didn't get, anyone else still waiting on this?

I'd be interested to know what variation there was,if any, in the % received for the excess application between brokers if people would care to comment.
I got 74.7% at Selftrade.

Rather oddly, I have been allocated 74.66% of my Excess Application. Go figure.

Most importantly they had not communicated the problem.
A simple message on the website was surely not too difficult to arrange.
We want an explanation of why they were incapable of handling this share offering in a timely and efficient way AND what they are going to change before the next offer they are involved in.

I have no intention of selling these but would like the money back for the ones I didn`t get.

Thanks for the link, but it doesn't detract from the fact that :-

a) they haven't formally informed their clients of the allocation.

and more importantly

b) we are unable to trade the shares - which I'm personally in no rush to do, but is
a point of principle.

Having just spoken to them again - they will be allocated today - I have asked for a formal complaint to be noted.

I applied to the open offer through HL - received a message on Friday with the numbers and they were tradable in my account this morning.

Apparently HL are reconciling the allocations 'even as we speak' and we will be informed later today!

The first time that I've had to follow up a day old secure message with a phone call.
