It's a fine line. Hopefully once the placing and divi are out of the way normal service will be resumed.

Even if the share price does fall to the placing price, it would still be cheaper to pick up in the placing because you would save on stamp duty and commission.

Ex divi next week could take it to par with the placing price.

I would agree with you wingrove. When the price was around 140p it looked tempting even though I am close to fully loaded. Now I am not so sure and will wait until next Tuesday morning.

Surely if this goes any lower it's not worth buying it in the placing? we might as well buy in the open market. Any thoughts anyone. I have placed an order but realise that I can cancel it withHargreaves Lansdown

Are you able to spell please?

The reaction to the share price is quite typical when a placing/rights issue is announced..........the price will also reflect ex-divided soon and the announcement as to how much has been taken up will drive the price back up to 140 early in the new year provided Trump has not declared world war!!!!!

A total of upto 113,636,364 new shares are to be issued.
With the current Total Voting Rights of 840,008,014 shares in issue that makes an equivalent of 1:7.4.
The rights to existing shareholders is 1:11. So, if an existing shareholder does not subscribe for more, upto 1:7.4, then he/she will be diluted.

But do existing shareholders face dilution with all these offers?

Colonel A - all applications for Excess Shares back in February were met in full. The Placing and Offer for Subscription were subject to scaling back. I expect the share price to fall back to 132p as the new shares become available, then the share price to get back up to 140p in the next few weeks.

Thank you speedsgh.
I'll be happy if I get 75% of what I've asked for.

Colonel A - Didn't hold any prior to the Placing/Open Offer/Offer for Subscription in Feb. Applied for 40,000 via Offer for Subscription which was scaled back to 30,000 so got 75% of subscription. Hope this helps.

You wont get too many as the big boys like this one and remember what the City does..............shafts small investors.

Does anybody have a record what % of requested additional shares were granted in Feb.
I did not subscribe to that offer but think I caught the one before that and would like to get some more this time.
Tks.

Good call, speedsgh. With the host of acquisitions they are planning I also think they will expand the issue rather than turn away investment. I've applied for 10k, let's see what happens!

I've taken up my allocation and applied for 5k more. Likely to be scaled back though.

Like this company a lot. It's quite boring, which is nice and good for my blood pressure. Salty

Last time round they increased the size of the issue such was the strength of demand (see link below). Wouldn't be surprised if the same happens again.

RESULT OF PLACING, OPEN OFFER AND OFFER FOR SUBSCRIPTION AND FURTHER TAP ISSUE (12/2/2016) -
