Hargreaves Lansdown have been conspicuous in their silence - I emailed yesterday asking when they were going to formally detail the allocations - most unlike them!

topvest, I hope I haven't mislead you. There is no scaling back for any shareholder who applied to take up all or part only of his allocation under the one for eleven offer.

Mach 415 - my TDW portfolio is showing 65% of application under open offer.

Also this is O/T but of use to all Firefox browsers. Install ublock origin add-on to firefox and kill the ADVFN pop-ups and downloads on these BBs without having to open a 'private window' session. Page loading is faster too.

All rather odd and leaves a bad test. How can your basic open offer entitlement be scaled back to satisfy others? It's not right!

Hargreaves Lansdown have not told me anything.
No idea of what I`ve been allocated.

I got 65% of what I applied for under the open offer.

Good post greatgig! Unusual approach though as I haven't seen it before. Glad I went for the excess. My son got an email to say he got 65% of his application but TDW have told me diddly!

Whilst the original announcement stated that the Open Offer will not be subject to scaling back, the announcement of the results states that the Open Offer is subject to a scaling back exercise. The number of shares allocated to the Open Offer was 76,364,364 and this same number is confirmed as being issued under the Open Offer. So, why the scaling back?
The Open Offer includes the Excess Application Facility under which shareholders are able to apply for extra shares over and above their allocation, but the availability of the company to satisfy those applications depends on how many shares are not taken up by shareholders under their 1 for 11 allocation.
In numerical terms, if existing shareholders subscribe for 70m shares and a further 10m under the Excess Application Facility (some shareholders applying for only some or none of their full entitlement), then there will only be 6,364,364 shares available to satisfy those excess applications and a pro rata scaling back exercise will be necessary. See page 107 of the prospectus.

Am I correct in saying even the open offer for current shareholders will be scaled back? That is most unusual if so. Luckily I applied for many more in excess.

I applied for placing only as not an existing shareholder so assume it's 65% of allocation for everyone in the placing.

Open offer allocations may be different for existing shareholders who took part in it.

Massive vote of confidence the increased and still well over subscribed placing :) bodes well for the future!
I applied for a lot more than i expected to get knowing this was the likely outcome. Feel lots of funds want safe places to put their money, oil to volatile, the banks to risky..companies like Big Box fit the bill perfectly.
I've not yet been told what % i have been given but presume we will all be scaled back to 65%. Thanks for the info n0rbie 👍🏻👍🏻

It's a great buy in the market - wish I knew what my allocation was so I could buy with leftover funds!

Edit: Ah here we go:

We are writing to inform you that due to significant demand, applications for shares have been scaled back by the issuer, but you will receive 65% of the amount you applied for.

Got my 3 x rights over-subscription so scaling back will be on open offer by looks of it.
Well, i'm a small PI so not really significant but a nice gesture.

melody9999: a Brexit optimist, like me, might say that future trading volumes with more countries (than the current declining trade in the EU 27) will demand more distribution space.

They originally had a target of £150m, we knew that would be overscribed but ..

"Accordingly, the total size of the Issue when aggregated with the Tap Issue will be GBP350 million, which is significantly lower than the total overall demand for the Issue."

So guessing total demand was probably somewhere in the region of £500m - quite incredible.

bought £10K in the open market yesterday at a tad over 133p. people will not get their full allocation so an ideal time to top up now. looks a good risk / reward IMV. DYOR
