Not following you. Flexiops and Wyld Technologies are funded through grant aid from the EU and innovate UK. INVMA are revenue generating and growing very fast. Tern will pay a final instalment to InVMA in July to retain their 50% holding, providing INVMA meet certain kpi's as laid out by Tern. After that any further funding will be on a 50:50 basis if indeed it is required. If they choose to fund further then you can be sure that it will be because INVMA continue their rapid growth. Consider that Tern bought Flexiant for £75k and then kept Flexiops but sold the bit they didn't want (Concerto) for $500k 4 months later then I'd say that was a pretty astute piece of business. Flexiops subsequently bought Wyld Technologies for £78k, haven't put a penny into them so far, and AS thinks the returns from this could well exceed that of DA. If DA are funded separately then they could buy anywhere between 2 and 8 similar companies and still have a large chunk of their funds intact. The business model is relatively simple. You have an interesting technology that you will struggle to get funded, and struggle to get beyond a limited UK market. Tern will fund your company, make it market ready and then sell your technology globally. In return we expect a significant stake in the company.

Aja5 - won't be too long before they are cleared :) It's nice to have a breather before we head off up again.

As I said over the weekend this has huge potential and I have buyers waiting in the wings so bring the sellers and shorters on :)

How much more risky do the shorts want it?

The short case now appears to boil down to 'there might be someone flipping some of a placing'.

Conversely, no-one knows whether that is true or how much stock there is, there are plenty of big buyers visibly in the market and news could come at any time on multiple fronts.

Oh, and the placing has been and gone.

Do ya feel lucky?

It doesn’t really matter, looks like they could have flipped between 20-25% of them today. With a nominal effect on the share price
Ridicule....they already had sufficient funds to maintain the status quo so if they invest £1 million they can still put funds into DA if required. If you look at the clever way they staggered the Invma investment that leaves them plenty of wriggle room!

My concern over the placing is the proposed use they have for it. £1.75m is a reasonable sum for maintaining equity percentages in the existing portfolio,. but to also look to make aquisitions with it seems overly ambitious.

Pretty sure the same company that did the Culns did the placing, we will never know because they won't have to notify if below 3%.

1.4 million of johnmas mates buying now showing which clearly indicates they are being flipped!

I said over the weekend I would welcome a placing for new investment purposes even though they had enough without making further investments !
Looking at the trades the shorting community look like they keep trying to push the price down, they are playing a very dangerous game and better hope a Tr1 doesn’t land that ruins the theory the placing is being flipped (which I also believe)

Either way a few days and it will be behind us leaving quite a few shorters still needing to close 😂😂😂

no issues with raising equity for new investments, as long as the price heads upwards until we start to sell off assets that is.

Closed at 25p after the auction, probably about right, the share price was pulled down in the last few minutes even though there was buying.

25p is a tough nut to crack and we have been above it slightly, but not shown we can move up and away from it. The retracement may be enough to signal a further bounce, who knows.

I really don't agree that the placing shares are being flipped, the price was above where we started last week, so the discount is not as obscene as it looks. TERN can't go back each day and up the figure by a few pence as the share price has risen that day.

Still looking very positive, also you don't generally see companies announce who has bought the shares, that comes with a holdings RNS when the shares are issued.

No one really knows. What we do know is TERN plc and is current stable of quality investments is worth more than £53 million.

S/W ..Even though whoever it is took the placing knows TERN are on the up they won't say no to 30% instant profit, will they unload all of it is unknown they might sell some and topslice the rest keep 3 million or so.

I think it might be wise to see if any chunky sells are reported before assuming today's placing is being flipped.

And I mean sells. Not earlier buys reported as sells.

S-p r o p h has a piece on tern today. No name for the institution suggests to the author that it could be a bucket shop (who are after short-term gain). And also the 30% discount suggests that. RedLeaf ought to put out better RNS's to nip such claims in the bud.

Placing stock is nearly always forward sold before it's RNS'd. This would have been flipped ages ago if that was going to be the case (which it wasn't). Secondly instis are usually subject to a lock in period. Thirdly does it really matter in the grand scheme of things?
