31/7/2013 13:36 | Re the ABS licence. I wonder if Stobart will buy Helphire. It would seem like a good fit and Invesco is the largest shareholder in both companies and Avril was chairman of both for a while, although there may be some bad blood since she was kicked out of Stobart. | goliard
30/7/2013 22:30 | A good contract win, but not sure how much margin there is if its only worth £75m over 15 years. | lpavlou
29/7/2013 10:49 | Interesting | daithedeath
22/7/2013 08:59 | I believe the Susa Fund closed their 0.72% short on Friday as its no longer listed as open. | downsize
19/7/2013 08:26 | I think we might see this break out today, a close above 98p will be the start of the shorts closing. | downsize
17/7/2013 10:43 | I find Vectorvest a very useful and reliable analysis tool, although they were 12 months behind me in establishing that Barratt PLC had turned the corner and showed massive upside potential (bought at 92p 28/12/11) along with the rest of the construction industry. They currently have fair value of STOB at 94.75p right now.Revenues to 28/2/14 are being forecast to jump a massive 25% to £714.41m whilst PTP stays around the same amount as 2013 at £37.45m which is drop in percentage terms.if 2014 Revenues were to increase by only 20% to £686.83m and PTP was maintained at the same rate as 2013 i.e 6.6% of revenue then PTP it would be a very reasonable £45.2m.All of a sudden the previous broker targets of 130p look highly achievable as this is a mere 10 x (my lower) 2014 EPS Forecast. Not to mention the 6p dividend giving an annual return of 6.5%If one was to take the view that the share price is currently under valued at 92p and was being artificially suppressed by the 7.05% of shares held in short positions, we could quite easily see a significant breakout of this range in the run up to interims in 3 months time on some positive news. | downsize
09/7/2013 12:46 | yep, I'm with halifax and never had a problem in 8 years. wllm | wllmherk
09/7/2013 09:53 | Stobart dividend is here this morning, a delay of four days but better late than never I suppose..... and actually, I must say, the returns from Stobart are very pleasing. Having been with TDW for many a year, moving share dealing accounts to another company would feel like parting with an old friend. However, my confidence and trust in them has been getting slightly less over the last few months. (not just because of this late dividend payment by the way) So maybe it is time to consider a change. | germalene
09/7/2013 09:28 | Get yourself a CREST account, not a nominee, one and you get the dividends, annual reports etc. direct from the company since your name will be on the share register. I use Stocktrade for quality of service, but there are plenty of others who will give you a CREST account. | this_is_me
08/7/2013 18:07 | Iweb (I know they don't have access to many other markets) are usually pretty good with divs and the only time they've been late is with isf which was a technical problem not down to them. | cashflo
08/7/2013 13:43 | GERMALENE I am with TDW and STOB div isn't in my a/c. Rang them to find out why, and was told to expect it within 10 days (almost automated answer) Not happy with their recent service and dealing buy charge increase for a 10 day buy.. Standard of service down - charges up. UPDATE now paid 1pm . | w.bramley
08/7/2013 13:43 | Spoke to a guy at TDW/TD Direct Investing who said they are working on doing dividends, think he mentioned a 'back-log'??? Also said payments should be through by Wednesday but at latest by Friday. Quite frankly, I would have thought dividend payments would be an automated thing. I hope these bells I'm hearing aren't the warning type. | germalene
08/7/2013 12:39 | halifax paid mines on Friday wllm | wllmherk

08/7/2013 08:31 | Monday 8th July and Dividend still not paid/received ?? | germalene
05/7/2013 18:57 | Is there a range forming here? perhaps a test of 81 - 83 and some support? It looks to be the start of a great trading range. buy order allready set. This stobart group really looks after you, generous divis, great trading range, free money allround doesn't get any better than this does it? | cashflo
05/7/2013 18:53 | They never pay it in at the beginning of the day always the end of the day, keeps you keen and builds anticipation. I like it. | cashflo
05/7/2013 18:50 | Dividend in today nice little sum to see in the account. Bearing in mind 4 months ago we were generally certain that the div was to be cut and the market had priced this in together with a massive contraction of the universe which would in turn have a negative effect on space time itself. And I just checked that several hundred pounds has been deposited in my account - from an outlay of no more than the price of an average second hand car so thinking or guessing or speculating that the div will be cut next year is the shyttiest form of market operation there is. If you think they it will be cut or the universe collapse then don't buy the shares. Undoubtedly these are so far a good part of a long term portfolio and quite what happens round the corner is dependant on so many factors I cease to give the matter much serious attention. | cashflo
05/7/2013 14:21 | Had these a couple years - how do they always manage to raise the price just as the divi is paid out - impact less new shares for those that re-invest - bet they go back down next week | shepc
05/7/2013 13:05 | anyone received the div yet due today? | w.bramley
04/7/2013 10:41 | Nice to see this heading up again. | xlairways |
