another typical move from Stobart. all deals they do seem to have some degree of a conflict of interest. no wonder why they don't get any broker coverage.

I think it depends on the Carlisle airport decision. I thought the court case was taking place about this time in February, but I have googled and cannot see anything on the website. The comments in the Carlisle's local papers seem to want the airport. Stobart have shown that they are capable of improving an airport and making a success of it.

I'm suprised at the lack of comment re the recent pullback and recovery, I guess everyone is just sitting on their hands waiting to see if it breaks out from here or falls back again.

There is a similar article in the Southend Echo newspaper regarding compensation for house owners near the airport, but I have read the readers comments and some of the things said are similar to my earlier posted opinion. One being the houses in the area are now 'selling like hotcakes'.

Property in the Southend airport area has not been selling well in the last year, like everywhere else in the country (apart from London). But since the housing buying resurgence the properties in the Rochford and surrounding areas have gone up in value, especially so, as landlords are buying for airport workers and other businesses that are moving into the area.

Did anyone see the Stobart Biomass Contract announced at the end of Sept as significant here?

Looks a sweet move.Biomass revenue had doubled to 1.6 mill from the previous year also. The venture looks pretty neatly packaged from my fundemental perspective. Anything looking good technically on this side?

If David Cameron does accept the invitation to officially open the Southend airport extension, I am sure it will be all over the tv and newspapers, it will be great advertising for the airport.

Newquay and Edinburgh destinations are being dropped from Southend airport. Not the warmest destinations wanted from the people in the south east.

I talked myself into it and bought some more Friday afternoon. I am happy to read over the weekend that Easyjet's top destinations are Amsterdam, Geneva, Barcelona and Berlin - Southend airport have all these destinations!

Well I am still here. I think 2014 will be a defining year for Stobart. I read recently (Southend Echo) that David Cameron has been asked to officially open the new terminal at Southend airport, whether he would accept is another matter, but that would be great publicity.

Stob has got stuck at around 140p it looks like all those commenting here have got out. I was hoping for a drop to around 125p to get back in. Perhaps a market correction soon to make it possible. Gr8 company

Stobart Group Ltd forms bearish "Top Triangle" chart pattern

Recognia has detected a "Top Triangle" chart pattern formed on Stobart Group Ltd (STOB:LSE). This bearish signal indicates that the stock price may fall from the close of 140.00 to the range of 120.00 - 124.00. The pattern formed over 21 days which is roughly the period of time in which the target price range may be achieved, according to standard principles of technical analysis.

Tells Me: The price seems to have reached a top, showing signs of reversal as it has broken downward after a period of uncertainty or consolidation. A Top Triangle shows two converging trendlines as prices reach lower highs and higher (or stable) lows. Volume diminishes as the price swings back and forth between an increasingly narrow range reflecting uncertainty in the market direction. Then well before the triangle reaches its apex, the price breaks down below the lower trendline with a noticeable increase in volume, confirming this bearish pattern as a reversal of the prior uptrend.
