Outsourcer,

I have good news for you. I phoned Barry Jenkins this morning and he has been instructed to extend the first quarter to the end of May- given the difficulties of setting up the matched bargain facility- IAF securities have had to pull out and be replaced by Jarvis Securities.

Barry also kindly informed me that some investors had pulled out of their sell orders and that there was considerable interest for shares following the Tevez compensation news and the realistic chance of promotion back to the Prem.

The club today has also announced a six figure extension sponsorship deal with the Maltese Government.

Hope this helps you back in Gibraltar. I trust that you are still living on the postage stamp?

Outsourcer,

see the Sheffield United website. There was a reassuring release a few weeks back.

Hope this helps,

Is anyone still around holding their SUT shares and any thoughts on where to go now with them

1) Are they worth holding onto
2) Will it be better if we get into the Premiership
2) Are we ever going to see any sort of dividend/return
3) Will they ever attempt to buy all those shares stil held by PI's
4) Will we get any loyalty rewards through continued holding

Or are we just holding onto dead money ?

I was kind of hoping that they might make a special dividend payment to us PI's that still hold shares as recompense for delisting, but I guess not.

Probably look to selling the 100K that I hold, as I cant really see much future in holding them.

Yet another example of where the small shareholder gets mugged. Take it private and then agree an "undisclosed" settlement with Hammers. Nice way for the directors to trouser 25 mil.

we're concentrating on the Cup!!!!

anyway, hate losing, hate losing to wendys more but if we had to lose that goal deserved to win the match. just unhappy that we stood off Tudgay for so long and gave him so much room.

best player for you by far was Gray. he's a playmaker and the type of player we no longer have.

still. just console myself with 44 - 38 - 40.

UP THE BLADES

S66 yes concentrating on the league indeed.

May be if you had been concentrating on the league a little more the Steel City double would have been a little longer in coming.

Up the Owls!!

But will the result affect the share price?

Rhetorical question of course.

I've every faith in the team to turn over Charlton (again - beat them 4-1 at home and 5 - 2 at the Valley this season) but if we don't manage it we'll adopt the SWFC mantra they adopt every year around January "we're concentrating on the league".

Best wishes to all PLAYING this weekend. Those who aren't - make the most of the rest.

No Spangle I was hoping that I could tell them Charlton were shocking and then hope they go and lose to them ;-))

But yes the Owls played well too.

if big Kev M fails to prize any of the remaining shares away from the PI's that are left, will he increase the offer from 8.5p a share for the next quarter or drop it to scare people into selling or does he not care if he owns them all

I'll hang in there until the death.

Good second half by the Blades at Orient though.

I was there. Anyone else?

OUTSOURCER: Last I read (December 2008's Flashing Blade fanzine) James Beattie had pledged his allegiance to the Blades until the end of his career......but 'shurley' nobody takes notice of 'footballer's speak'.....or chairmen's speak?

'Whatever' comes to mind.

Same old same old.
