8.5 pence is confirmed as the price the day before cancellation, according to finance director with a helpful letter that I received this morning and now I am waiting for news on the real price for de-listing. I estimate £150,000 per annum savings from de-listing. I also believe that McCabe will act in the club's interests rather just his own. However, it's my IMHO, DYOR and all that.

He can do what he likes and unfortunatly force you to sell your shares at the market price, Currently @2.5p sell.

The 8.5P is what he is prepared to offer us.

Stinks really but we'll see at the AGM what is on the table.

I would just keep hold of your shares for now.
Until it is clear what McCabe is about to do with the club.

I agree with you there chatterjee1932, i think you might just have a point.

With what has happend todate, it wouldnt suprise me to see some incentive being offered.

You have to remember, there a lots of original share holders out there, who he helped out previously by allowing them to keep their free season tickets for the next ten years, when he first arrived after the farce which was McDonald.

I will enquire with my broker. Thanks for the heads up.

Outsourcer,

your shares will probably be a nominee holding that are quite a popular way of investing online. However, ring you broker to find out.
If they are in a nominee holding, you will have to make a decision on whether to transfer them to your name. I just feel that the board will be loathed to hand money back to smaller shareholders and may offer other incentives to private investors. Nominee account holders might not necessarily receive anything. However, please do your own research and I shall try and pass on the outcome of the meeting.

Best Wishes,

Chatterjee

Chatterjee, when you say you have trf your nominee holdings into your name, what does that mean. I have mine held in my HSBC share account, is it best to trf into my own name ?

27/12 will be all about convincing us about the values of being delisted- although the chairman may have a point (www.financeweek.co.uk/item/6114), it is important that smaller shareholders get paid a fair price for their shares.

The good of Sheffield United is all very well but not at the expense of the millions invested by many of it's followers and fans.

I agree with the sentiment of this and the other share boards that we must stand up to any rip-off arrangements.

I have transferred my nominee holdings into my own name this week- ready for any incentives. McCabe will not want to unecessarily pay any money out- however small- that would result in less available for a spring push for promotion. However, we can't wait for much longer for success. The Robson freeze left me feeling cool about McCabe having any outstanding ambition to take The Blades further than before. Being a fan and being seen to be doing the right thing won't be enough- particularly after any delisting. The brightest talent will be off to Villa or City in January and he has to be seen spending the cash and more on better players. Clubs like Swansea and MK Dons are showing more direction with their ambition.

OUTSOURCER: Do you by any chance live in the UAE?

Anyway, it makes little difference as to who attends the AGM because KM has the deciding vote(s) on what will be done.

If all else fails, just attend the AGM on Dec 27th and voice your concerns there.

You might get a cup of coffee out of it - if nothing else!

It all went downhill when Neil Warnock left 'by mutual consent'

'janes bond' There was mention a few AGM's ago of there being around 9000 shareholders.

Incidentally, I know a John Bond who's a shareholder. Any relation?

:-)

why are people selling their shares on the cheap to Kev and chums, if all the PI's held onto their shares I am sure we would get a better price than the 8.5p (if correct) otherwise Kev cant get them all all for himself which is the whole purpose of this exercise.

soulsauce. I emailed the address you suggested and instead of a reply to my query about SUFC I got a reply saying something about an imminent takeover of an S6 club, since then it has repeatedly emailed me saying the same thing "the takeover is happening", "the takeover is happening"..........
