25/5/2009 13:13 | Playing 4-5-1, question is, have they got their gear into Wembley (my suspision lets call it, that Sheff Utd have been using drugs) Burnley side far stronger, same style of play, all neutrals backing them, bookies favourites but if Sheffield are on the gear ........ they will be too sharp and quick for almost anyone including Burnley, especially in the first 30mins and the 1st 15-20 mins of the second half Sheffield have an unhealthy desire and obcession with the premiership, and lack the players (bar their form in the last 15 games), based on the past history of these players they should be incapable of promotion, but they aren't Why not Blackwell, whats in their drinks? | mryesyes

21/5/2009 12:32 | good info. Position 27 is interesting too.....chelsea, 5 below us. Typical for a team that is going nowhere to concentrate on the past though and not on today and next season. | bluenose851
21/5/2009 12:20 | bluenose....no idea what you are writing as you are filtered but thought as you are a regular viewer of this SUFC section and no doubt a wind-up merchant to those supporters of bigger and better teams in the West Midlands - you'd like this link particular attention should be given to positions 4,6,7,13 and 22. Also interesting to compare position 22 with that of 21 and 23 which should give you an idea of a where people really sit in the grand scheme of things. Enjoy. | s66blade
20/5/2009 09:32 | doesnt matter. u will lose to Burnley. they are a much better team and have the passion to win | bluenose851

20/5/2009 07:21 | Thanks for the info Chatterjee, I to am holding until after Monday, although I do worry that there is nothing stopping the directors dropping the price considerably in order to pick up the remaining shares cheap to try to gain full control of the club. If we do get back in the premiership the potential £60M windfall from that, the £20M (roughly) Tevez compensation and increased ticket/merchandise sales surely make the current share price of 8.5p look very undervalued. I just feel that unless it is planned to sell the club their is little incentive for the directors to reflect the true value of the company. But then I might just be a cynical northerner ! | outsourcer
19/5/2009 21:51 | Outsourcer, been on the blower with Barry Jenkins today and he kindly filled me in with the two trades listed. The 1.4 million shares were collective sell trades that the director purchased from smaller shareholders. The 75,000 trade was a buy. I am sitting this out until next week before making a final decision on what to do. I do have trust and faith in the the board playing fair. I have written to Simon Capper to ask whether directors will base a 2nd quarterly price on the shares traded or the true value of the club and it's companies. Best of luck to Outsourcer and all other shareholders. Here's to success for Sheffield United, it's global brand, promotion and using the Tevez compensation effectively. Chats | chatterjee1932
19/5/2009 14:10 | Not good enough for the Premier League. | ponderer
19/5/2009 08:24 | Chatterjee, I see that a trade of nearly 1.5M was done on 18 May 2009 at 8.5p, it doesn't say whether these are buys are sells, if its a sell its a worry that someone has decided to offload. Do you know if there is a way to tell from whether they are buys or sells ? It will be interesting to see what happens to the price on the 1 June 2009. | outsourcer
15/5/2009 20:48 | Anyone been in touch about the 8.5p offer? Barry Jenkins kindly informs me that the directors will pay at last resort the above price per share until the end of May. Any thoughts of whether the delisted shares would be worth holding onto? There are around 1.25 million shares offered for sale at the moment. | chatterjee1932
