Anything not highlighted below represents the usual managerial misplaced optimism - and for those taking comfort in the "Order book building post period", the order book was practically empty to begin with, and the cash has now run out. If QTI has products as good as the literature claims why is virtually NOBODY buying them?:

"Qonnectis plc ('the Company'), the data monitoring service provider for
utilities and major commercial users of energy and water, announces its results
for the six months ended 31 December 2008.

Highlights:
* Leakfrog orders delayed
* New product derivatives developed and ready for sale
* Order book building post period
* New enhancement of logger product ready for launch
* Turnover GBP20,686 (2007: GBP291,281)
* Operating loss GBP405,806 (2007: GBP197,168)
* Loss per share 0.10p (2007: 0.10p)
* Cash balance at period end: GBP304,532 "

Running a modern gas or electric utility or providing meter services, or related service company such as a meter operator or asset manager, is fundamentally about information – how much energy is required, where, when, how much has been used, how much is unaccounted for, how much shall I bill, what information shall I give the customer. Qonnectis provides solutions for all these challenges, providing both improved efficiency with lower costs, together with better customer service.

The fundamental source of this is accurate and timely data. Qonnectis uses state-of-the-art smart meter reading technology in systems that make it easy to communicate with remote utility meters and sensors automatically, and delivers precise meter readings, sensor data and sophisticated monitoring and analysis services. Qonnectis converts remote meter data into utility intelligence for improving energy use in process/operation and reducing costs.

In addition, Qonnectis provides simple and informative access to this information. Its information services mean you have instant access to field information and intelligence, and can pass on that information to your customers in the same way.

The cornerstone of this provision is the Qonnectis Network. This is the first totally integrated, web-based machine-to-machine communications solution that allows a utility or end user to fully automate their meter reading and data collection and access the information via the Internet from customer-branded web sites.

Qonnectis' solutions for energy utilities and operators include:

* monitor their energy network infrastructure and assets to industry-standard 30-minute intervals
* smart metering to easily obtain remote meter reads for accurate billing or from "out-of-area" or other remote sites
* minimise losses such as unaccounted-for energy consumption
* provide their business customers with web access to their energy consumption data and alerts (as a standard service or as a value-added package) to improve the customer relationship
* gain a better understanding of how their customers use energy through profiling and forecasting
* improve customer service and reduce customer queries with branded web sites for customers to access data instantly
* know when something goes wrong with instant SMS and email alerts for pipe bursts, tamper and abnormal consumption
* manage tariffs and introduce new, innovative tariffs based on customer data
* evaluate effectiveness of environmental programmes
* reduce network operation and customer service costs

QTI supply data loggers that monitor standard meters - the smart meters involved in the rollout will replace standard energy meters. The idea that they will get a 30% market share is pure fantasy.

Ermmm... Who said OTI do not do Smart meters?????

Well here is some news fool. THEY DO.

I suggest that OTI will get @ 30% Market share (conservative figure) of the smart meter roll out by the utilities.

The meters referred to on the BBC are smart energy meters. QTI provides a data logger (swift,istaq) which monitors standard water and energy meters and leakfrog which attaches to standard water meters - i.e. they are not suppliers of smart meters and have no role to play in the smart energy meter rollout....

The "devious plot" is to get numpties like you to buy this crock of Sh1t.

Anyone with half a brain cell can see that the letter of intent is worthless as it comes from a company with 1 employee, no cash, no balance sheet, a history of losses and links to people with a history of misleading investors (eg Haddow).
