With gas water & electricity going through the roof, monitoring how much you use is an essential.

The Directors of Qonnectis (AIM: QTI), the data monitoring service provider for
utilities and users of energy and water, note the recent share price movement
and confirm that the Company is still in discussions with a number of entities
which could lead to additional funding for the Company

I've not said it's not positive. I've just said it's not important. Look how the share price reacted today, up massively with huge wide spread, sellers pop up and it comes rattling back with a vast spread. The market makers are making hay on speculation and hope. If they do get funding then I'm sure it will have a very positive effect but there is nothing in this announcement that says anything about long-term business funding and any funding that does occur will be diluting....

Common sense gogenko good post, why issue the rns if the company is going bust there is no point.

I have seen this many times eg Nipson,Maxi,Roxi etc etc but they all gave clues beforehand of likely funding and the share price went beserk.

This imo is qti giving us a indication of just that.

gogo, i agree mate and i always take on board the -ves as well as possitives and we have had more than enough of the -ve stuff in the last year. i just feel at last a little more possitive and that has been a long time coming!!

mhw28865,

Even though a couple of us will probably remain -ve up until the point we see a realistic chance of good revenues arriving you've also got an opportunity to extol the +ves from this news and it's leading to a balanced set of opinions. ddlooker may be right that the funding may cause a big reaction if/when it arrives, which I think is now looking more likely.

Toad, What would be the point in going through all this if funding was not nearly sorted. And why the hell would primary water want to set up a 3 year distribution agreement if they were going bust. First time we get a little bit of good news and you still just slag them off. Why dont you just f.ck off to another thread you inbred !!

Read the announcement - they have not gone through anything, nothing is signed. They are evaluating a bit of kit and may sign something in the future. They have been here before and nothing has come of it with one of teh largest providers on the planet. It is not good news, it's just news. Why do you think I'm inbred? I've been doing this a long time sonny and have seen this on many occasions. You don't like it - filter me like your alter-ego iNsisde2.

They've issued a very promising RNS about Halma two months prior to a dilutive placing and 15 months prior to the company being on the edge of bankruptcy! History can repeat itself you know!

Imo this will do a Nipson Digital as soon as funding is announced. This letter of intent is just a little taster of things to come. Why issue this very promising rns if funding wasen't just round the corner? There would be no point.Use a bit of common sense chaps.

ddlooker,

Looks like a standard letter of intent / memorandum of understanding, i.e. lots of good intention signed at an early stage, but with get-out clauses so it could evaporate as fast as it appeared. If you haven't noticed, the QTI range of products have been selling barely enough to register a revenue, so a distribution agreement subject to a minimum sales volume is likely to be hard to come by.

If Halma Water Management (who are considerably more prolific than Primary Water) customers weren't interested in LeakFrog then why would those of a niche operator like Primary Waters be?

I agree mhw,it's just plain common sense. Got a few after research and think this is a very good punt with global demand for it's products.

Looks good to me.

It is expected that a three year distribution agreement will be signed giving
Primary Water exclusivity to distribute Qonnectis products into Australia and
Russia, and all other countries worldwide excluding the UK, Ireland and China on
a non-exclusive basis. The distribution agreement will be subject to minimum
sales volumes and will include joint funding of specific product development

Having looked at the Primary Water website and their offer document [ ] I have the suspicion that it may be a quite a while before any revenues arrive. Compared to Halma Water Management they are insignificant and appear to be just about drilling deep holes in the ground and have no international marketing or distribution infrastructure, but maybe it'll work.

They seem to have a product with wide world possibilities. So imo funding should be no problem.

Nice tight spread - not. Why are you pretty sure mhw? Give us the benefit of your experience. This is just an evaluation of the product, no agreement to sell is signed and so this means absolutely nothing.

Up 86% any comments - yes, lots thanks. Look at the sells, they'll be mine. Halm amassively failed and as gogoneko says above it has no bearing whatsoever on the short-term revenue generation prospects for the company.

They've been handed a lifeline for the time being (assuming someone is interested in buying QTI stuff) so no doubt that that's good news for the company. I take my hat off for them signing a letter of intent so close to the edge.

We'll just have to see whether the letter of intent does develop into a distribution agreement (as it may turn out to be another Halma which failed dismally) and how much revenue does get generated through this arrangement in due course - but if they announce some funding news soon that'll help keep them going long enough to find out!

toad6 ..... JUST TO REMIND YOU OF ONE OF YOUR POSTS ;-

toad6 - 7 Jul'09 - 07:25 - 4931 of 4947

Well you've just popped up on here telling everyone what's going to happen. Why would anyone fund them when they could just buy them from the receiver. They have no management, no sales, no USP, no plan that they have told shareholders about, no office and no money. Why would anyone place an order with a bust company? OK so they do get funding? But on what terms? Why would that be a good thing for shareholders? The last one was rapacious and massively diluting and things are not getting better. OK so the shareprice goes up but the EPS falls by 90% due to dilution - great stuff, you go right ahead and fill your boots mate...

Why are you posting up a RNS that we can all see anyhow? A letter of intent does absolutely nothing to secure the viability of this company so your "Back in Business" tagline is very wrong.

Fail
