So at least the company can say that sales of their top product are static when passing the cap around.

I presume that they've managed to get a bank loan to keep the salaries on tap up until the prelims become due end-Dec and then they switch the lights off and walk away. That's unless Unilever buy them out first, hey ddlooker?!

I expect the situation's problematic because they're trying to negotiate with many potential funders because no single company is keen to take on the risk - I'm sure that they're exploring every avenue possible and looking hopelessly desperate in the process. As you know, I really don't rate the ability of those left in charge, and so expect that that's further delaying the process.

So long as there's cash in the kitty they'll keep trying - but they'll have to start working for free soon.

It would be better to write off the investment as the company has no money, no access to money, and no assets of worth - so there's not much it can do. It would be a very big surprise if it came back to life but it's possible - however I doubt if there would be any value in your shareholding if that was the case.

Bum. I go on holiday for 2 weeks and when I come back all this has happened! I now (of course) can't sell my shares. Do you think there's any chance I will be able to in the future? Or is the money just lost for good? (I assume the latter...)
