Do you think Barbara is telling porkies gongenko?

Interim chief executive Barbara Spurrier commented: ""This agreement will lead to a much broader marketing infrastructure and allow us to enter new markets quickly. Primary Water has identified various target markets where they are confident that our products will be well received."

Gongenko, now they on their way by signing a deal of intent with Primary Water.Do

Do you hold share gongenko?

Why are you not celebrating the fact that it looks like funding is on the way?

Surely their would be no point in issuing todays rns if the company wasen't confident.

ddlooker,

You should read what's written.

The $300 bn p.a is the global water market value of which Primary Water is a very niche player - it's not a "project" but unless it's escaped you up to now it is a market QTI has been trying very hard and very unsuccessfully to get into for the past few years. There's nothing to indicate that this won't continue, especially as Primary Water are a very niche operator in the business of drilling deep holes into the ground, not reselling leak monitors.

There are no forecast revenues in this letter of intent nor guaranteed commitments and as such it's safe to assume that QTI may not be funded based solely on a letter of intent given the disastrous example set by the failure of a previous reseller venture and the wasting of the previous £1.25m of financing.

[edit] Please explain why you're so confident that Primary Water will succeed where Halma Water failed.

DYOR visit the Primary Water website and read todays rns. A tiny, teenie weenie fraction of the $300 billion would do wonders for both companies.

PRIMARY WATER provides a clean and sustainable solution whilst also tapping into the global water market estimated to be worth more than US$300 billion per year

Fact gogenko they are about to team up with this company (Primary Water)

PRIMARY WATER is a leader in the exploration, development and production of commercial quantities of primary and deep ground water to government, industry, agriculture and consumers.

PRIMARY WATER locates new sources of primary and deep ground water through a combination of leading industrial technology and highly qualified and experienced experts. gogenko, they are about to be part of the $300 billion water project. Don't think anyone will doubt funding is on the way.

ddlooker,

Don't forget to post recent QTI revenues (i.e. virtually nothing), complete lack of interest in any QTI products in the marketplace in recent years and plenty of trials leading to yet more disinterest, and the most recent trading update (i.e. warning of potentially insufficient funds to continue to trade) if you're in the mood for filling up bulletin boards.

Just 1 $billion will do.

Qonnectis shares soar on news of potential distribution deal
company news image

Shares in Qonnectis PLC (AIM: QTI) soared in early trade on news that the company has
has signed a letter of intent with Primary Water under which Primary water will evaluate Qonnectis products and commence trials with a view to progressing business plans and proposals for distributing the products into various territories.

The stock rose by as much as 68 percent after the news broke.

Qonnectis provides data monitoring services for utilities and users of energy and water.

The group expects to sign a three year distribution agreement giving Primary Water exclusivity to distribute Qonnectis products into Australia and Russia, and all other countries worldwide excluding the UK, Ireland and China on a non-exclusive basis. The distribution agreement will be subject to minimum sales volumes and will include joint funding of specific product development.

During the evaluation phase Qonnectis will receive a fee for providing the test units. All data generated by Primary Water will be shared with Qonnectis whilst the intellectual property rights remain with Qonnectis.

The agreement covers the Leak Frog, Swift, MyMeter technologies and associated
products.

Interim chief executive Barbara Spurrier commented: ""This agreement will lead to a much broader marketing infrastructure and allow us to enter new markets quickly. Primary Water has identified various target markets where they are confident that our products will be well received."

"OMG - Someone with a brain has taken over iNside2. A post worth reading and IMVHO absolutely spot on..."

Agreed! Call me cynical, but it's amazing how a disposal of a big stake in a company affects a point of view and an outlook! ;)

Hi mhw, got in about a week ago.Noticed qti on the top board on a regular basis. Topped up today in two tranches my total now 900,000.

The rns today imo is a pre-cursor to funding news and most thinking punters will be aware of that, as i'm sure you agree.

The reason I got out is because the funding requirement can only be met by giving a large chunk of QTI away and will be very delutive. As for the latest marketing contract I would suggest you all cast you memories back to just such a contract specifically for LeakFrog. Now that is not to say Primary Water will not produce the goods just that QTI has a poor record in appointing resellers. I notice talk on this bullitien board of the activity by the gas and electricity utilities re Smart Meters, QTI is not in this market and if you read much on the subject would realise that internationally these two markets are just about wrapped up by far larger concerns than QTI. This is about water, nothing else. QTI made it clear last year that water is their market place and at the time I considered it a good move as it was clear we could not compete in the energy market. Best advice is to be patient and wait until the full effect of any dilutive funding is apparent before committing your cash.

Toad, i apologise for being rude to you its just you seem to be so negative towards this company all of the time i just wonder why you even bother to come on here! As we know they are having discussions with a number of entities about funding and todays news could certainly not harm this process,

My view is that the real issue should be what the QTI management do with the money, assuming it arrives. Personally I think that the incumbents haven't even got half the talent to make best use of any new money, so I really hope that they take a long hike and a new team with some ability arrive in due course. Trusting this lot with a bank balance would register a big zero on one of their smart meters.
