|I was simply told in passing jwcs but it was a reliable source, I'm trying to get the details myself.|
|I presume shareholders can expect nothing. Do you know the source of any more info, name of administrators, etc? TIA|
|Pressac was apparently placed into administration last Friday.|
|There is an indication price on www.jpjl.co.uk
J P Jenkins provide a matching service in shares of unlisted companies.|
|ps, it is not tradeable online.|
|Anyone out there? I have Barclays showing a mid-price on this at 3.75p. Is there any news I should know about? I hung on thinking that eventually the shares could have a value and before I instruct Barclays I thought I would check in here.|
|Time to let this one RIP I'm afraid. Received this email from Peter Webb today.
I am afraid that our infuence at Pressac is now over and matters are firmly in the hands of the bankers. In hindsight, the CEO and advisors have really turned shareholders over! It was not for want of trying on our part but it seems that the likelihood of shareholders receiving a payment is remote. (with or without tax rebates!).
Let's hope that we make some money in 2006 to make up for it!
I don't think that the M&S case will be of any use to Pressac. In M&S's case the losses were in France whereas the profits were in the UK. M&S sold the French subs and thus had no way of ever getting to use the losses in the future.
In pressac's case the profits are in France but the losses are in the UK, Pressac can get value for the UK losses as and when it becomes profitable in the UK. The principles of the M&S case would need to be materially extened in order for Pressac to benefit from them.
|It's going to be 2006 before we see what the outcome is going to be. Still not sure what will happen with Pressac.
Good luck, let's hope we either get the 10p or Pressac floated back onto the market, a bit leaner and meaner.
Have a good Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
|Not a holder but wish you all good luck and a Merry Christmas.|
|knowing - 1.75p .... Hmmm I'll hold on for a little more. ; )
Was considering the impact of the M&S tax offsetting court ruling. This could be quite dramatic if it stands against pressacs french operations.
Haven't done the number crunching but it would be worth several million. Would welcome anyones views, if it is worth contacting the company about in the new year.|
|Unfortunately Bruce hasn't called recently, but here's hoping!|
|miami you can sell them for around 1.75p at present.|
|I rate it a pretty good chance.
Keep the day job with E-Street, but keep an eye on Pressac prospects in the New Year|
|Any ideas whats developing here?
I held 800,000 shares and had taken them off my monitor about a month after they delisted.
Read through the posts since and was good to see the shareholders ousted the board, having been on the receiving end of l gardner and save group in the past.
Is it over now or is there still a chance of getting a few pence for our shares? Anything would be a bonus for me as I had written these off.|
don't give up on them yet. The company still have prospects & I originally bought because of asset value.
I was speaking to someone in one of the divisions earlier this week. Seemed fairly upbeat and no way thought his job was on the line. Decorative sold, more sales hinted at. We ought to come out with a much friendlier balance sheet & decent core business.|
|this thread seems to have gone very quiet.
so pressac is going to be broken up????
perhaps premier farnell and/or others will be interested in parts; so ttg [they are still down 5m on there stake] may not get it all there own way.|
|won't be there tomorrow sorry, but quite keen to hear any news/gossip if anyone does make it.|
Would appreciate it you did go to AGM and reported back here. I would go but live O/S's.|
Thanks, I'm obviously going do-lally, I'll redo my calcs, 2p doesn't look so pricey now.|
I don't think I will be at the AGM, but think there are still some interesting times a head with Pressac and who knows we all may come out of this one with a smile on our faces.
