08/2/2017 08:43 | Picked up another £3k worth at 165p on the initial dip. Gift horse? | bones
28/1/2017 16:11 | Told first half is running 15/20% ahead of this time last year. W I are working on a note and will be giving a further upgrade. Management are looking for 2 million before the exc gain which would be very nice. This year debt will fall by half a million ( 20% ) and the order book is growing fast. I do feel my 300p is possible but brokers will drip feed the good news as they did last year. Good old Eric.. Tiger | castleford tiger
27/1/2017 16:33 | Bought in earlier today for the SIPP. | rogerbridge
27/1/2017 15:09 | I will get it by the way and share. T | castleford tiger

27/1/2017 14:17 | no updated note done yet. Sit relax and watch these grow!! Tiger | castleford tiger
27/1/2017 13:44 | I haven't seen any upgrades to expected FY17 earnings(EPS 12.50p)since the results came out this week- just wondering if anyone else has? | firtashia
25/1/2017 14:04 | You can often buy within the spread but for me its the size that's the issue. Anything outside moves the price pretty sharply up or down. Tiger | castleford tiger
25/1/2017 13:51 | Agree, and a lot of the time is the reason for the seeming volatility. Wonder how long it will take ADVFN to update their financial figures page for this stock. The PE has changed substancially. | freddie ferret
25/1/2017 12:55 | I believe the 7p buy / sell spread, thats around 4%, is disgraceful behaviour by the market makers. | olliemagern
25/1/2017 11:43 | tiger yep picked up the actuarial loss too. nevertheless the retained earnings were still increased. suprised no changes in equity statement in the RNS, always like to keep an eye on retained earnings gives you some comfort in the balance sheet if it keeps rising woody | woodcutter
25/1/2017 11:26 | Seems unable to make its mind up which way it wants to go | davr0s
25/1/2017 10:22 | accumulated again today woody | woodcutter
25/1/2017 10:18 | Buyers back in today. | bigbigdave
25/1/2017 08:36 | Thanks Woody that's a great post and very useful. The house broker should be doing an update note with revised numbers. | meijiman
25/1/2017 07:44 | Woodcutter I agree 100% add in ................. Sales and orders in the first quarter are ahead of last year confirming the continuing growth potential of the business "We look forward to continuing progress this year and for the future." The Group continues to be selected for new rail project work, the delivery of which has yet to be fully defined and therefore is not included in the order book The current financial year has started at pace. We have moved up to a new level and we are moving on. THE MM are fishing for stock so sell if you need to but my 300p longer term target remain in place. They may attract a bid at some point. The balance sheet would have been 600k stronger had the pension write down been ignored. Tiger | castleford tiger
24/1/2017 18:51 | Some additional thoughts on numbers from my post 428 revenue went from £16.3m to £21.4m overheads went from £4.16m to £4.75m as a result operating profit went from £836K (with a gain on property disposal of £587K) to £1547K almost double so a £5.1m (21.4-16.3) increase in revenue effectively lead to a £1298K increase in profit (1547-(836-587)) There was an additional £14k from property sales in this years figures but that's incidental imv. so break even revenue is around £16m probably less. So roughly every £1m of revenue over £16m generates £250k of operating profit. If they do around £23m next years that's £1750K of operating profit plus £300K from property sales that's over £2m, almost 30% uplift on this year. On top of that the divi has been increased substantially and it appears over £20m revenue is the new norm expected. the operational gearing is sound and driving the business performance. I'm with tiger i can't see what's not to like. The train transport sector is booming. for those who have concerns over the order book figures "Sales and orders in the first quarter are ahead of last year confirming the continuing growth potential of the business." woody | woodcutter
24/1/2017 17:30 | This now looks very cheap to me. Read the report and do a few sums. From my look I would be surprised if profit is not doubled at the next final results time. The divi should start to rise rapidly IMHO, was well covered now ridiculously well covered. | freddie ferret
24/1/2017 15:34 | Tried a dummy sell this morning, they were very willing to take 15k shs off me. Says they are after stock imo. | bigbigdave
24/1/2017 15:25 | God how everyone turns. I read it that we are now maintaining the new higher level of business. I read that a small slow down in orders post Brexit has been made up. I read that we have a 300 k exc gain coming this year. I read the company took the 125 k bad debt on the chin . I read that business may be recovered in 2017. I read that Brokers forecasts ( and we await the new note) suggests at 15% increase this year. I read that brokers feel upgrades may come through. A growing business on less than 15x historic earnings. Good enough for me. Tiger | castleford tiger
24/1/2017 12:58 | Yes I think if you can buy some around 175p then you will see a decent capital appreciation in 12 months (maybe sooner) plus of course a growing dividend...... | meijiman
24/1/2017 12:39 | Possibly a reaction to the failure to follow up the ludicrous "galloping" comment from last time out! A mere "moving on" has been construed as "slowing down"........ Looks like a good point to buy in. I am overloaded with its rail brother Petards (PEG), but I have been keeping my eye on LPA. | bones
24/1/2017 12:24 | Difficult to understand the share price movement on the back of the figures. Maybe a new broker note out? | meijiman |
