21/6/2020 16:36 | Ownership without the obligations does not exist. | alphorn
21/6/2020 16:00 | Roger Thrush21 Jun 2020 1:23PM"Talks continue" is the worst news.Talking to the EU and signing up for anything with them usually involves hundreds or thousands of pages of commitments all in their favour, written in impenetrable language, guaranteed to tie us up in knots forever.I know we have an obligation to negotiate which we can't reasonably refuse for a little while longer, but at some point I'd like to think we will walk away and not come back till the latter part of next year. The best deal for the UK will avoid the legalese and undue commitments, that it's no deal. Simple third country status will be fine, we'll add to it as we go forward. 11LikeReply | xxxxxy
21/6/2020 15:04 | Sunak would not get the peoples vote I believe, for many reasons. I would rather see Redwood in charge if Boris messes up the Brexit. N.Farage is also hovering in the background and he would be a good choice as he is for the UK 100%. As for the U.S....any democrat would be the end of America ( Clintons, Obama) IMO. The west needs strong leaders to cope with world problems and the Lib/Lab lot would be the end of the U.K. | maxidi
21/6/2020 14:42 | They waived their bonuses and reduced their future ones by 30%. | gaffer73
21/6/2020 14:41 | Maxidi Already Indicated Sunak over here. Over there, Republicans are disappearing up their own rear end at a great pace. Whatever candidate the Dems put up looks likely to get majorities in both houses. Especially if Biden makes a popular choice of Running Mate - Female. Personally would rather have seen Governor of NY State in the running. Vote Cuomo!! Next time. | bbalanjones
21/6/2020 14:36 | BBJones. I will ask again who gets your vote instead of Boris/Trump. Straight question! | maxidi
21/6/2020 14:34 | For whatever reason his tenure will not be one upon which I will look back on with fondness | scruff1
21/6/2020 14:29 | Uty: Good Man - Keep the faith!! Possible 55p by autumn imv. Thik all LBG shareholders of last 10 years should be jointly awarded a George Medal, for services to Government in PPI scam.!! | bbalanjones
21/6/2020 14:25 | bb, Nearly as many as me:) | utyinv
21/6/2020 14:20 | Uty: I have 360,000 reasons to hope otherwise. Rest your fingers pal and think of 2021. lol. | bbalanjones
21/6/2020 14:16 | maxidi: Nail on the head kiddo! Problem is our species can't seem to function without some form of 'control'. Religions have done that for most rulers for millenia. | bbalanjones
21/6/2020 14:16 | Appears A Osorio is getting nothing right these days. How can someone who is a CEO be so out of touch with shareholders and manager employees? He agreed to hold divi payments for the final divi of last year and for 2020 but surprisingly agreed to bonuses and payments to himself and the Board. He also is allocating our money to Charity under his name. Talk about taking the Glory and fuelling his massive ego. Since arriving at Lloyds he took a £9m golden hello only for weeks later to go off on sick for months on full pay. He has since benefitted by receiving overly generous pay and bonuses, for a delivery of failure. He capitulated on any fine or penalty that the BoE or PRU has made against Lloyds, never once protecting the interests of shareholders. That’s because Antonio thinks he is above shareholders. Shareholders had to wait years before dividends were reinstated even though he was taking bonuses. Now Andrew Bailey has suggested all dividends should be held back to help pay for Covid-19, Antonio quickly accepted this suggestion without any consideration for shareholders who own the Bank. Antonio then smiles in front of cameras to say he is donating £millions to charity. £millions not of his money but our money. What was the share price when Antonio took over? 1st March 2011 = 60p What’s the share price today? IMO Osorio Has been very bad for Lloyds shareholders. | utyinv

21/6/2020 14:09 | g2 Dishonesty and incompetence are so often bedfellows in so many MP'S. BoJo really is a blustering but cunning chancer. Thought he might have had a Damascus moment after hospitalisation. | bbalanjones
21/6/2020 14:07 | And just for the record - have any of you guys ever attended Swinton Conservative College? I have been selected twice. | bbalanjones
21/6/2020 14:05 | Get a dictionary bb! There's a difference between dishonesty and incompetence. The old bag lied to our faces and lied and lied again. Boris may have made a mess of various things but he is broadly doing what he said he would do when he was standing for election. | grahamite2
21/6/2020 13:33 | f1: I don't "hate" anyone. I just wish more folk could see through the vested interest that comes from both extreme wings of politics. Breitbart is just one example from the crazy right. For balance Those nutters in Momentum will do. I just don't do any brand of 'poor me' "Anger and Hatred, thanks." | bbalanjones
21/6/2020 13:29 | Like all last few Tory PM's. The Peter Principle applies:- Promoted beyond their functional competence level. Sad> Given some solid backbench support - Rishi Sunak would be head and shoulder above BoJo. | bbalanjones |
