19/6/2020 14:30 | mm2, Utricky, diku Thanks guys. Much appreciated. I'll buy the arm like you advise mm2. :) It is a lever arm toilet. It looks like it has never had the nut on it since fitting. It could have been leaking through the central syphon for decades and until now continued un-noticed. I guess had it had a separate overflow like the old toilets a slightly open valve would have been noticed straight away. | minerve 2
19/6/2020 13:50 | Well looks like covid is coming to an end here in the UK. Another month of political over reaction, but then back to normal. Schools just need to reopen in September as normal, In terms of a second spike I think it is unlikely as track and trace activities will keep it localised. People will also carry over some social distancing measures and maybe keep a hold of better hygiene routines. The whole system is now geared to handle an outbreak way better than before. With that in mind, financially we should be close to the bottom as the future looks improved. Might be the last week or so to buy back in to the markets. | 1carus

19/6/2020 12:51 | Already very different from last week: Michael Gove told the Northern Ireland Select Committee "We don't have a date per se, pencilled in, but it is the case that if we haven't secured significant progress by October, then it will be difficult." | alphorn

Of these, some 1.2 million deferrals were approved, with an average £755 per month of suspended payments, new data from UK Finance shows. - Telegraph Average of £755 per month? That seems high to me. 19/6/2020 12:38 | It is an odd hybrid, a market economy that produces billionaires and yet claims to be communist. Hardly communist as defined by Marx and Engels as we understand it. We in the west, UK and America are drifting towards a surveillance society and central bank baling out of the free market economy is socialising losses whilst still allowing profits to be private. Odd times, interesting to see how things develope. A sort of democracy in Russia, but avoided in Saudi Arabia, we would not want to risk it there, they would get the wrong answer. | careful |
