17/2/2017 15:28 | As you said earlier, nailed on. Just going to start reading the report in detail. I do like paper, can't write notes on the screen. Last years convinced me to move a cash ISA into JIM shares and now 25% up as well as divis. | melton john

16/2/2017 08:30 | Great results. A rock solid company. We should see an update to the IC tip based on higher eps. | melton john
16/2/2017 07:53 | Another excellent set of results. Very positive report by the chairman and bigger dividends to be paid out in the future. If they are making good profits now with interests rates so low the potential when interest rates do eventually rise is very significant. A very well managed company with a great future. Still a strong buy in my opinion. Well done JIM | nickk1
15/2/2017 14:52 | Hi Steelwatch, just noticed your post, minutes before mine. Good point with the DRIP but i was nervous when we were hovering above 300p even though the DRIP was good. Better for me to be around the 400p mark with room for movements up & down. I am working away tomorrow and no phone signal until I return. It will be a long day with the results in the back of my mind. Regards. | tenapen

26/1/2017 07:36 | Good results from BRW, this morning. I thinking this means trading volumes !. Quote; Core income2 growth of 12.0% to £67.9m (Q1 2016: £60.6m) driven by organic fund flows and continued positive investment performance coupled with further growth in financial planning income. 1 Core funds comprise discretionary and execution only funds. 2 Core income is defined as income derived from discretionary investment management, financial planning and execution only. | tenapen

19/1/2017 08:09 | Wonder what is causing this modest interest over the past couple of days? Seems to be a few small trades pushing the price up a little. Has it been tipped anywhere/anyone seen anything? | cwa1
18/1/2017 12:40 | No chance for my wee top up to be filled now. Hae Ho. Regards. | tenapen
12/1/2017 08:24 | A line of sells yesterday, Weldone and I hope the profit was a good one. With a wee bit more volatility around Mr Trump becoming president ! our next Divi in Feb looks nailed on . . . . to be GOOD. | tenapen
08/1/2017 12:13 | Tightly held stock so as the recent seller has finished selling with a few buyers about the price will go up. | nickk1
07/1/2017 14:29 | Thanks John, I am just reading today's papers and the driver for yesterday's rise seems to be the strong trading update from TP Icap !. Bode's well for JIMs Divi. Regards. | tenapen
07/1/2017 11:12 | Morning Tenapen, Jarvis will keep paying 60% of profits as divi I'm sure, because Grant through Sion gets a nice pile of cash to finance expansion of their property portfolio. A major shareholder, the Kerwen family, appears from Google to be a local building company, maybe they recycle their profits from working with Sion into JIM. Certainly seems a probability. Happy to hang on for the ride although I have to stop myself getting too overweight in Jim about 30% now. Would be good to see a further rerating by some takeover action in the sector. | melton john
07/1/2017 08:46 | Good Morning John, My big 50 / 70 / 100 share purchases over the years and also the regular DRIP add up to leave me with a large holding for my size of pocket. When the Share falls it hurts more, but i would not sell. I posted on the BRW thread a few weeks ago, that i think the broker sector's are entering a period of mergers and that is what is driving JIM and PMR to push higher yesterday. I do not think Jarvis will be part of the action as the directors and sion hold such a large percentage and unless they needed the lump sum ! the good / great quarterly dividend is for my thinking (and maybe their's) the best investment in town. I do think JIM will be taken higher along with the sector as a whole as 'you never know ! '. Thinking alowed. Also the Jarvis director buying, adds a token of confidence. Regards. | tenapen |
