Wonder what is causing this modest interest over the past couple of days? Seems to be a few small trades pushing the price up a little. Has it been tipped anywhere/anyone seen anything?

A line of sells yesterday, Weldone and I hope the profit was a good one.

With a wee bit more volatility around Mr Trump becoming president ! our next Divi in Feb looks nailed on . . . . to be GOOD.

Tightly held stock so as the recent seller has finished selling with a few buyers about the price will go up.

I am just reading today's papers and the driver for yesterday's rise seems to be the strong trading update from TP Icap !. Bode's well for JIMs Divi.

Morning Tenapen, Jarvis will keep paying 60% of profits as divi I'm sure, because Grant through Sion gets a nice pile of cash to finance expansion of their property portfolio. A major shareholder, the Kerwen family, appears from Google to be a local building company, maybe they recycle their profits from working with Sion into JIM. Certainly seems a probability. Happy to hang on for the ride although I have to stop myself getting too overweight in Jim about 30% now. Would be good to see a further rerating by some takeover action in the sector.

Good Morning John,
My big 50 / 70 / 100 share purchases over the years and also the regular DRIP add up to leave me with a large holding for my size of pocket. When the Share falls it hurts more, but i would not sell.

I posted on the BRW thread a few weeks ago, that i think the broker sector's are entering a period of mergers and that is what is driving JIM and PMR to push higher yesterday. I do not think Jarvis will be part of the action as the directors and sion hold such a large percentage and unless they needed the lump sum ! the good / great quarterly dividend is for my thinking (and maybe their's) the best investment in town. I do think JIM will be taken higher along with the sector as a whole as 'you never know ! '. Thinking alowed.

Also the Jarvis director buying, adds a token of confidence.

CWA1 - Purchase by Director may have been small beer but helped a nice tick up today. More to come in my opinion.

With a set amount to spend i played safe with a higher max bid but less shares bid for. I got my 180 shares at a good price.

That happened to me a while ago Tenapen, I formed the opinion that the online platform can ignore the nms. When I set a limit buy at nms (500) it went through after a short delay. Maybe limit trades are negotiated manually and the MM's won't refuse an NMS trade from a live dealer.

ten - rather than accept the instant "at best" price, maybe place a limit order based on the current quoted spread? If it stays the same, try the £3.42 offer price tomorrow. Worst that can happen is you pay the full offer, but not more, or there are no takers. You may even find you pay less.

drip shares in, 94 nice new shares for me. Better than the rubbish cash ISA I had, over 5%. Hoping for some weakness after Christmas and I'll buy some more.

.... and if you want to hold Jarvis for the long term and build up a holding ! you could always take the dividend as a DRIP !.

Nice steady rise in share price here over last few weeks with more to come imo. Pretty secure dividend yield still over 5% and love the quarterly payments.
