21/2/2022 10:29 | Talked this morning to a guy that worked with a rock dumper, and he commented that the seabed issue at Southwark can be resolved in 1-2 days once they hire the company to do it. It is likely the Noble Hans Deul can be moved to the platform next week | alxo82
21/2/2022 10:14 | The only worry is the H and S executive are involved. Any more about them and I will be out...otherwise all things being considered this RNS was ok. | flyer61
21/2/2022 09:55 | Further delay not a shock but I don't understand why they haven't commissioned the safety instrumentation systems by now (or perhaps they mean final testing of them?).And HSE have raised some points to be resolved...... If they get first gas by mid-March I will be pleasantly surprised. GLA | petomi
21/2/2022 07:35 | See my post 382! | bountyhunter
21/2/2022 07:04 | Surprise, surprise | marvelman
18/2/2022 13:06 | Nevermind about the vessels, it looks like the sea state is rough and more vessels have come close to shore | alxo82
18/2/2022 09:44 | bountyhunter, did they company issue a statement of the ongoing works? I see nothing. BTW, the two vessels that were working at Blythe have left it, maybe they are finished and today we can hear some (or bad) news | alxo82
18/2/2022 08:35 | "Unfortunately due to the recent severe winter storms progress has been slower than anticipated..." Only joking, I hope! | bountyhunter
18/2/2022 07:15 | And a bad day for good news. ;) | bountyhunter
18/2/2022 07:10 | Today would have been a good day for bad news….. | flyer61
17/2/2022 11:06 | "Management" that's a bit generous?! | dunderheed
17/2/2022 11:01 | Well I would love to pile in some more based on the paper headlines of the stock but have virtually no confidence that the management have a grasp of the current operations. The market seems to agree. | marvelman
16/2/2022 15:03 | There has been an offshore vessel stationed next to the Blythe platform the last days, so there must be personnel working in it. And another vessel is continuously navigating around the area, it even visited the Southwark platform several times. I don't know it is because an issue with the gas line or just standard operation. I have a good feeling about this. | alxo82
16/2/2022 11:10 | The vibes not looking good. Expecting another excuse very soon. | marvelman
15/2/2022 09:55 | Just saying that IR used to reply emails, and in the last few days they haven't replied any. I'm guessing something is coming, I trully hope it is good ... fingers crossed | alxo82
14/2/2022 17:36 | Nobody say "pigs might fly" ;) | bountyhunter
14/2/2022 17:16 | Yes thanks ss. So first gas "approximately" next Monday 21/2 then! | bountyhunter
14/2/2022 14:51 | Thanks for the input, sledgesurfer | alxo82
14/2/2022 13:42 | To be honest, its not a term that I'm familiar with....but it's been a while and most of the lines I worked on were oil lines that were displaced with dead crude. However, for a gas line, you'd normally dewater from the offshore end to your reception facilities with a series of pigs during the pre-commissioning phase following installation. At this point, you have a dry line. Generally speaking, you don't want to be opening a gas well from a high pressure system (the well) into a low pressure system (the pipeline), particularly as there will still be residual water in the pipeline. This is a recipe for hydrate formation (ice crystals) which can plug your line and temperature effects which can compromise the integrity of the wellhead, manifold and pipeline. To mitigate this, I imagine that they will be "backgassing" by injecting gas into the line from the reception facilities in a controlled manner along with chemicals (methanol or a hydrate inhibitor). This will increase the line pressure, reduce the differential pressure between well and pipeline and mitigate the hydrate risk. I'd also imaging that they would sweep the line with an ROV during this phase to check for leaks. Given the length of line, a week seems more than sufficient to me. As I say, not my primary field of expertise and happy to be corrected. | sludgesurfer
14/2/2022 13:27 | If it is "ready" i.e. ROV final "sight survey" done as it appears to be ongoing as per LSE posts - should really only be a day or two IMHO from the end of that period - but what is "ready" - fully 'spec'd or ready for final final QA/QC to be carried out? | dunderheed
14/2/2022 13:11 | and is a week a reasonable length of time for it? as posted previously... "An expanded team is working days and nights aiming to be ready for back-gassing in mid-February, with First Gas expected approximately a week later." | bountyhunter
14/2/2022 12:05 | @sludgesurfer what exactly is the back-gassing? Some kind of leak test? | alxo82
14/2/2022 11:34 | I worked on some pipeline projects previously. A final survey prior to introduction of gas and/or a leak check during introduction of fluids would be normal. | sludgesurfer
14/2/2022 11:23 | Maybe a leak assessment on the pipeline as the previous sea bed survey on Southwark was so successful I assume both were done by the same provider ,they are taking no chances now. | wskill |
