Officer Digby, read the RNSs, Kistos doubled production with the purchase of 20% of GLA. BTW, the securities depend on the gas prices, the higher the price, the higher the securities.

Alxo has been busy de-ramping both IOG and SQZ today joining the main SQZ thread to tell us all he is so concerned about SQZ that he has sold out! Now de-ramping here as well again without checking some basic facts. Obviously looking for lower entry points imv, here where first gas could be announced as early as Friday and with SQZ ahead of Rhum coming back online which is anticipated in about 10 days time.

Alxo82 SQz and the 100% of their hedge under lock and key (secured cash) in their accounts.

It is not geared with security premiums etc.

It get released each month and they produce the gas..

There is no extra security.

Just read the RNSs!

AllStars001 the point of being here is potentially IOG is for the first time going to be turning on the tap and producing ball park KIST levels of gas. possibly by the end of week.So indeed some degree of that value is priced in... But looking at KIST MC for example.. Not all.This being a carbon neutral producer and such an gas environment and gas market.... It could catch a bit of interest. Non?There again there may indeed be.another delay....LOL.

The first offtake contract is already in place with BP, the another one with Gazprom is being reasigned

I'm not any way critical of this stock, just wanted clarification on the above 200m MC with current little/no income cash flows.. yes production up and running in a week if no issues but you can't expect contracts straight away although I hope that's the case..Hope we all make gains regardless if we're here or SQZ.. At least we're investing in the right space!

U.K. to ban Russian oil by end of 2022, also looking at gas.Can only be good news for IOG I would have thought.

AllStars001, SQZ is very exposed to any operational risk, given that their hedged production represents 60% of total production (6000boed vs 10000boed) with Rhum offline. They announced that they will try to improve production elsewhere, but if another field goes offline, the situation will become very ugly very fast considering their existing securities for the hedged production.

Disclaimer: I had a small position in SQZ that I sold today after realising this

Yes I guess they will really be struggling to find buyers for their North Sea gas at this time!

They already have a contract with BP although not for first gas but that could quite possibly be extended.

Allstars,

You'll not be able to say that for much longer, production due here within the week and a return to Southwark developmental drilling due this month too. If things stay they way they are in the gas market we're looking at trading at less than x1 cashflow from these unmanned platforms unless they re-rate substantially. SQZ started off small too, I held back at the time they bought Erskine etc. just because SQZ are a cash cow on the current gas price (I don't hold), doesn't mean that IOG won't be. At the moment they look very well positioned for significant revenues very imminently with lots of growth potential through Southward development and their other discoveries. There's lots more room in the NS than just the current operators. SQZ isn't the only good value out there, in fact I see more bagger potential at IOG at present.

All stars, interested in the fact that SQZ are 20% hedged. Is that 20% of total gas reserves or 20% of this year’s production. If the latter then you can rest easy although their margin requirements will be becoming very costly. If the former though, that could spell huge risk in this rising n market. Their hedge could become bigger than their assets if prices keep going. You just need to look at Nickel prices right now to see what happens to shorts…yikes!!

Am I missing something here? Everyone seems to be talking very positive but the MC is already over 200m for a company with no production to date and a large debt to pay off. Very high risk. No concrete contracts yet either with upcoming first gas production to be very steady and slow. SQZ will be the biggest winner during this period. Absolute printing machine with no debt, only 20% hedged and an already established production!

You did a bit better than me but at least the price rose again pm.
I think these so called "negotiated' trades are a waste of time as I may as well have kept trying for a quote until the early morning dust settled, at least I would have had some control.
On a more positive note if first gas IS online by the end of the week as suggested we could end up at least 10p higher imho - given the likely risk premium discounting the price in light of all the previous delays.

I topped up this morning, when they eventually executed my negotiated trade, which of course was after the early morning rise!! However I'm anticipating a further rise when first gas is finally confirmed hopefully Fridayish!!!!
I though it might have gone up by more this morning, but there is clearly still that element of uncertainty/distrust with nothing yet delivered.
