Unhelpful but fair:

Encouraging that it is a 7-year deal. The sum $1.725m a year seems to be within the ballpark of previous EIM contract wins (circa $1.5 - $2.0m). That said, they have disappointed a lot lately so investor confidence is still pretty low.

Yesterday's RNS appears to be very small beer compared with IDOX's historic annual turnover. If they are RNS'ing this, and nothing else, presumably they are not winning any other significant contracts?

That at least is why I read the RNS as pretty -ve.

All IMHO, DYOR.

Disappointing response to a chunky new deal, the second EIM contract in a month.

Final results imminent, so whilst tempting to top up, probably prudent to wait.

But feels like recovery gathering steam.

No mention about the MFM fund.

Aishah, they have only 'sold' Idox from their paper portfolio, AFAIK they still hold them in their 'actual' MFM Technology Fund.

Techinvest have sold all their holdings but retain a hold recommendation in the hope that management can turn things around.

I don't know the situation here, but it's not uncommon to have contracts agreed and to start working before they are signed ... and have the effective date earlier than the signature. There is of course a risk in doing that, but it's fairly common.

Sounds like contract dated October pre year end, but delivered by a very slow and, at this time of year, overworked reindeer and only reached the company signed on 27th November. if that theory is correct it may indeed improve the warned numbers because the reindeer wouldn't have arrived by the time of the profit warning.

Yes, it does seem strange. Have you got any theories on the possible reason for this?

Did anyone else find it a wee bit strange that they stated the contract was signed in October but it was today in late November that they decided to RNS and tell us ?

Suppose it depends on how you 'adjust' tips, given that 'Buys' far outweigh 'Sells'.

I have:
Strong Buy = Possible Buy
Buy = Hold
Hold = Sell
Sell = New underpants required

No, not a Sell tip. A 'Not a Buy yet' tip. That's a bit different.

Not in the same place as you both on this, I'm afraid. I'm long and will top up on weakness.

Yes there are clearly operational challenges and yes they need to announce a new FD pretty fast, but... The business has doubled in size in the last 3 years, has massively de-risked by diversifying away from the Uk public sector, have a Fwd p/e of 9 and a yield of 2.5%. And the chair and CEO are heavily invested.

I'm not suggesting this is going anywhere fast, but take a 12 month + view and IMHO idox will prove to be a decent investment.
