01/9/2013 14:05 | Aren't interim results to end of June 2013 due sometime in September?I have been busy otherwise and lost track of key dates for a few of my stocks. | tyler90
12/8/2013 14:43 | woodcutter and melody Thanks for your thoughts. I did in fact take a small stake but will wait increase it until I see some greater sign of movement here. I was caught out once by something compeletly different which despite the intrinsic value showed and still shows little sign of positve or negative movement; and i dont want to tie up too much unless there is some positive action. So fully acknowledge the apparrent value and prospects and hope for a start towards realisation before emptying the pockets further. Will keep a close eye on it! Thanks and good luck | janeann
09/8/2013 18:32 | jane it's very undervalued and like commodity stocks at present they are unloved. Part of the issue with oil plays i feel is the fracking issue and whether further developments will hurt the oil price and as always geopolitical issues too. But without questions it under the radar and undervalued. The BOD record is exemplary they have continued to deliver and when they begin to return some of the hefty cash balance back to us shareholders the income funds will come a running and with such a tight shareholder base and little free float the share price is only going in one direction in my view. If it falls any further from here i think you'll see many shareholder topping up. aimho............... Woody post note Risk----Reward circa 500p----circa 1000p | woodcutter
28/7/2013 22:02 | Hi Janeann - I think the truth is that oil share prices have been depressed - and in any case GPK are under the radar. Nothing wrong with the progress the company is making though. All IMHO. | melody9999
19/7/2013 10:29 | well, I have been looking at this for a while, and while from the interims and previous results it seems very good value (and getting better value), and other well respetced posters here seem to share that view, the share price continues to slip gradually. Am I missing something here, or has is this just an overlooked stock. Tempted to take a small punt but perhaps I should wait for a bit more slippage? Any thoughts welcomed. Janeann | janeann
12/7/2013 12:51 | hashertu a weekend in Bermuda sounds very tantalising! Can't see mrs woodcutter agreeing to that though;-)) WC | woodcutter
12/7/2013 12:34 | I was looking to see if i could find more info on the API metric for their portfolio of oil production but struggled. Nevertheless the only downside i could find in terms of the finds assuming they are similar to recent finds is the API metric is quite low so heavier end of the crude spectrum. Much of the south american crude does seem to be at the heavier end of the spectrum. Less valuable and more costly to refine, higher sulphur levels and more viscous too. Fewer refineries able to take on board the production and fewer product volume unless mixed with lighter crudes. But these are minor in comparison to the size of the find. Shame they don't give the API metric in their reports would be interesting to see. Woody | woodcutter
12/7/2013 12:10 | GHF Just catching up on the thread and there you are again;-)) great to have you on board. I've been buying regularly here now and can't make my mind up whether to buy more while it's such good value. I sold my TPL btw it hit my stop loss. It might be worth a revisit when some real solid production gets going. I did some rough calcs and although i found it difficult to value i came up with an share price of around 30p+/-5p at current knowledge. It may have great potential but there'll be plenty of time to get on board in the future. I'd expected more on the FOA but nevermind, i figured i'd trade it and as usaul got it wrong. Sorry for off topic. Woody | woodcutter
09/7/2013 18:58 | I have asked Craig Ribton at Proactive Investor to try and persuade GPK to make a presentation there. I would like to meet the management but find Bermuda, while obviously attractive, too far to justify going. If you are of a like mind, please contact Craig also. I sure it will help strengthen his case. (emailing contactus at Proactive seems to go straight to Craig, not Arianne). | hashertu
28/6/2013 21:16 | Tierra del Fuego has the potential to be a game changer, the acerage is very large, and GPK have thrown a lot of resources at it and done decent deals with political partners. This is a big bet. There is clearly tons going on in other territories, so the costs are covered, with more news of a couple of more drills in the next few weeks, interesting times. | bbluesky
28/6/2013 17:05 | I'd certainly appreciate sight of a broker note if anyone is in a position to forward on Glasshalfull1@yahoo. Regards GHF | glasshalfull
28/6/2013 17:04 | Thanks for an informative thread guys. I was the sole purchaser today with 2 x trades, both marginally under mid. Can't believe that the market has failed to react to yet another positive RNS. Regards GHF | glasshalfull
28/6/2013 12:59 | We will just have to be patient, either the market will wake up soon or we will see serious dividends in a few years. | this_is_me
28/6/2013 09:26 | nielsc.........you'r WC | woodcutter
28/6/2013 08:57 | Woodcutter, Not sure when the price will reflect the value here. Perhaps the half yearly report in Sept. A price of between £9-£11 would seem reasonable for where they are currently. Cheers, Niels | nielsc
28/6/2013 08:42 | yep agree roughly 670 boe/day. 1 boe = roughly 6000 cubic ft gas. At some point we must get a rerating, does it need to get to a per of 2 before the market realises the value! WC | woodcutter
28/6/2013 08:07 | It is the first drilling in a new area so there should be more to come. It is not too far away from a pipeline either. | this_is_me
28/6/2013 08:05 | Yes except it is gas! 4m ft3 is approx 670 barrels/day oil equivalent SJ | sailing john
28/6/2013 07:50 | "flowed at a rate of approximately 4.0 million standard cubic feet per day of gas and 35 barrels of oil per day" is this gas flow significant? | melody9999
28/6/2013 07:30 | More good news today. | this_is_me
17/6/2013 15:00 | Starting to look like the next Pacific Rubiales! | sharpshare |
