02/10/2012 12:52 | Back on trend after quasi Director buy (Cartica) mopping up the weak holders. An exciting 24 months ahead! SJ | sailing john
28/9/2012 15:17 | Just announced that Cartica have taken another 90k (circa £600k investment if my sums are correct) presumably from the weak holders who sold the results. A quasi Director buy - I like that! The Non Execs have invested heavily here! | sailing john
27/9/2012 14:41 | New pres on the website | thegreatgeraldo
26/9/2012 23:07 | Agree misses are par for the sector, but remember the guidance. Taking the lower figure on production - an 80% increase - which was pointing at 13,500boepd for the current year. That was pointing at 15,000boepd for H2. Instead, the current guidance for H2 is 11/12,000boepd. It's a big miss. OTOH, compared with 2011, they're a great set of figures ;-#)) | thegreatgeraldo
26/9/2012 22:14 | Dont really believe this is a traders share tyler90 but like you happy enough with progress, production guidance misses are par for the sector. Do we have guidance on reserves? | gopher
26/9/2012 12:06 | We knew the production numbers for H1, obviously the outlook for H2 has done the damage. Guidance isn't always met, but this is quite a big miss. Hey-ho... | thegreatgeraldo
26/9/2012 09:18 | Agreed...traders bailing out but this represents a good opportunity to pick up more tightly held stock. Happy with the progress. | tyler90
26/9/2012 08:19 | Agreed Zengas - gpk should be more conservative with their production forecasts - but the rest of the results are very positive .....the EPS figure is almost hidden but did not escape me either ... at 39c or 23p for 6 months. Some short term sellers on this news but the longer term is very positive I expect we will see the share price move upwards as focus returns to the drilling programme. | melody9999
24/9/2012 09:50 | Maybe not! LOL! | tyler90
23/9/2012 13:56 | With a bit of luck may hit £8 again next week but not the time to sell IMHO! | tyler90
18/9/2012 16:43 | I probably should have sold at £8 but I think that the company has great prospects. | this_is_me
18/9/2012 13:54 | i'm quite as a mouse here! is this a technical bounce or can anyone share (quietly) any other information | melody9999
18/9/2012 10:56 | Yes very nice indeed. Quietly does it. Cheers, Niels | nielsc
18/9/2012 10:30 | I love our quiet little abode BUT - I think our little surge through £7 is worth a mention Still another 50% to match the price that LG International invested in GPK's Chile assets last year And another 100% to reach my target! Back to sleep - zzzzzzzzzz SJ | sailing john
07/9/2012 07:27 | Should be later this month as you say. $37.5m 5 year loan facility obtained and to be spent on 2 of the 10 Colombian blocks - ie La Cuerva and Llanos 62 where they have the entire 100% interest. | zengas
05/9/2012 10:27 | Haven't seen a date for the interims yet, but it's usually the end of September. I posted on the Fool over the weekend that it'll be nice to see the financials to go with the production. We already know that H1 '12 has seen production average around 11,800boepd, which is up nudging 60% from FY11's 7500boepd. Much more interesting is the change in the mix - last year it was around 35% oil with the rest gas, this year so far it's been around 62% oil. All of which means H1 '12 revenue should exceed FY11 revenue. By around a third by my calcs. With more to come. | thegreatgeraldo
15/8/2012 22:44 | thanks for sharing guys , looking good from where I sit . | loafingchard
15/8/2012 22:08 | Manceno is only about 280 bopd to GPK and nothing in the scheme of things considering it is only a new well and completed a month ago. I expect them to make towards 20k bopd in due course. Looking for new deals and the cash flow to also pick up acquisitions to possibly get us to 30-40k bopd range over the next couple of years. | zengas
15/8/2012 20:02 | Missed the Parex update yesterday. See they are having problems trucking oil from Manceno due to poor roads, which is impacting production | thegreatgeraldo
15/8/2012 20:01 | Zen and TGG thanks for the updates Have to confess to very little current research as I trust management to deliver. SJ | sailing john
15/8/2012 17:37 | Thanks tgg. Colombias oil production has jumped from 500,000 bopd in 2005 to 953,000 bopd by Sept 2011. Target is for 1.1m bopd in 2012 and 1.4m bopd in 2013 to 1.5m bopd by 2020 which allows also for older field production depletion. Unprecedented exploration with a new pacific pipeline plus an infrastructure spend of $55b for roads, ports and railways upgrades. Colombia imo is a growing producer powerhouse. | zengas
15/8/2012 17:18 | Hadn't seen that, here's a bit more from P1's website "The Maniceño-1 well was spud on March 2, 2012 and after a side track of the original wellbore, reached total measured depth of 11,027 feet on April 18, 2012. The well targeted the Mirador and Une formations. Log interpretations in the Mirador indicate net pay of more than 50 feet. The top 14 feet (10,750' 10,764') of the indicated pay in the Mirador was perforated and production tested on jet pump at an average rate of 7,280 barrels of oil per day of approximately 25 degree API crude oil and less than 5% basic sediment and water ("BS&W") over a four hour period. The maximum flow obtained from the well during the jet pump test was 9,512 barrels of oil per day over a one hour period during the four hour period. The well also flowed naturally at an average rate approximately of 3,036 barrels oil per day over a 6 hour period with downhole restrictions due to the jet pump assembly. Initial test rates are not necessarily indicative of long-term production rates. " & a map of the immediate area (slide 13) (GPK have 45% of LLA-34) | thegreatgeraldo |
