05/11/2015 20:02 | NT bought in. May give price a boost .... From his lastest blog today. An interesting one that came up at the seminars is Finsbury Food (FIF) which provides high end bakery, cakes and the like. With the success of Bake Off, demand for high quality bakes has risen (gettit?) and the company is certainly making a lot of dough. Profits are rising fast and forecast to rise strongly this year - looks like a share to me that rerates higher, stops for a while then goes up again. Looks like this one is about to get a sudden rerating higher again and I'm looking for a rise of a further 25% to get the share price up to about 125p. Pretty low risk too unless people really stop eating their kind of stuff. | jakedog2
04/11/2015 12:11 | Given the recent share price solidity, I wouldn't be surprised to see a move towards 110p in the near future. | spaceparallax
27/10/2015 14:28 | I thought the appointment of the new Company Secretary was interesting She looks like she will be both very helpful to the Board as well as keeping them in order! | jpjp100
23/9/2015 12:24 | Indeed the 100p level can be tough to hold; however, there are so many positives both now and for the future that I'm confident that we'll come to settle in the mid 110s very soon. | spaceparallax
22/9/2015 16:06 | yes, the results were as good as the pre-close statement suggested the news was already in the price before the results were published a bit of profit taking is to be expected maybe and, sometimes 100p is a sticky area to get past! | jpjp100
21/9/2015 20:58 | Yes, results pretty positive. Taking half off the table at 107p by me seems a good call last week though as we are getting the inevitable profit taking now after a good run. Happy to keep the rest though, particularly as it's cost is now zero. | topvest
21/9/2015 15:05 | Article on Telegraph quotes much larger profit target, dunno what they are quite referring to though: "Moreover, Mr Boyd said Ferrero Rocher's recent acquisition of Thorntons - Finsbury currently holds the licence to distribute Thorntons-branded cakes in the UK - also served up potentially lucrative licensing agreements with bigger European food brands. He added that Finsbury was in line for further cost savings this year to put it within reach of the £22.7m cash profit target expected by the market" | confusedcoalboy
21/9/2015 10:31 | Superb results, outlook and financial stability. Plus a great divi! Can't be long before we pass 110p perhaps making 125p by year end. | spaceparallax
21/9/2015 08:49 | Yes, all looks pretty good. Not much of an update on the current trading, but more than happy to hold my reduced holding. | topvest
21/9/2015 08:07 | Prelims read nicely A distinct change in tone to that of a proven player in the market now, rather than a striver with something to prove Dr Zak's? | jpjp100
14/9/2015 13:02 | I will sit tight on the rest and still have a LFI holding to double up on this. £1 was my target for taking a profit so waited until comfortably above that. Wouldn't be surprised to see a choppy market this week if the FED raise interest rates on Wednesday. | topvest
14/9/2015 09:53 | Good luck to you Top. Personally, I'm happy to sit tight; having endured frustrations over the years I intend to fully enjoy the fruits of my patience. | spaceparallax
14/9/2015 09:13 | Sold half of mine this morning. Happy to keep the rest as a zero cost investment but after 7 years of holding it was time to lock in on a very handsome profit. | topvest
13/9/2015 16:13 | Yep, very solid with lots of potential and healthy fundamentals. Sounds like a virtuous circle that'll yield further share price progress. My only concern now is the threat of unwelcome predators that have a habit of popping up in such circumstances; however, I suspect that the Board would be sufficiently confident to know FIF's worth and to fend off silly offers. | spaceparallax
11/9/2015 15:41 | Yes, next leg up ahead of the results a week on Monday. Very encouraging. Seems to have good momentum at the moment. StockRank on Stockopedia was 92 before today. Will it get closer to 100? To be honest some of the momentum seems to encourage further buying when the StockRank gets to this level so all looks very good given only on a P/E of 11. | topvest
11/9/2015 12:26 | The continuing decline in wheat/butter/sugar/g www.indexmundi.com/c edit should add that cocoa has been against this declining trend seen elsewhere-up close to 50% over the past 2-3 years. | confusedcoalboy
11/9/2015 11:50 | What a nice move up this morning: results out on 21st September 15. | amencorner
19/8/2015 16:42 | hey presto - results 21 Sept | spaceparallax
11/8/2015 21:10 | Results normally mid to late september. | spaceparallax
11/8/2015 19:29 | Yes, great news. It's been a long time coming! Expect it to settle at this level as some holders will no doubt reduce. When are the final results expected? | topvest
11/8/2015 17:12 | Yippee, we've broken thru the £1 | spaceparallax
31/7/2015 17:03 | Real upward pressure building here. | spaceparallax
27/7/2015 13:56 | Ta, on the move again today | spaceparallax |
