21/3/2017 20:55 | Positive comment from iii editor: ......'Given many of these numbers were flagged in Fevertree's bullish update in January, meaning no further upgrades Tuesday, it was no surprise to see heavy profit taking early on. Indeed, Fevertree shares now trade on around 52 times forward earnings, way above multiples for soft drink peers and enough to jangle nerves among some of the more jittery shareholders. But Phil Carroll at Shore Capital remains optimistic. "The business is delivering growth that is significantly stronger and at higher margins than the peer group whilst generating strong cash flows and returns on invested capital," he says. "We still believe Fevertree is capable of delivering further upgrades as we progress through the year given its excellent brand and product proposition and a lack of effective competition. "Should there be a 'weaker' period of growth that disappoints the market, we would see this as an opportunity to acquire the stock." Nicola Mallard at Investec Securities also repeats her 'buy' rating and upgrades her price target from 1,300p to 1,675p.' | wetdream

21/3/2017 15:47 | The reason I'm happy to buy such a highly rated stock even at these levels is summed up in these words : "However, it is notable that gin only accounts for 6% of the global premium spirits category. The dark spirits category, on the other hand, accounts for 60% of global premium spirits, ten times the size. Within the dark spirits category the same trends of premiumisation and mixabilty that are driving the rise of premium gin and tonic consumption are also emerging, with major premium dark spirits brands actively promoting simple long serves. New Fever-Tree products will be launched in 2017 to complement our existing dark spirit mixing range, reintroducing quality and choice to the trade and consumers of dark spirits. We believe that an exciting opportunity exists to work alongside the premium spirits brands to reinvigorate the dark spirits category, in much the same way we approached the gin category over ten years ago." | madmix
21/3/2017 15:33 | FEVR valued at £1.8BN. Around 8 times well done to all those who bought on day one. Would I be a buyer today ? | pet lover

21/3/2017 15:26 | With such great results imho the main negative influence on the share price would be the founders unannounced dumping of chunks of stock. General trading seems to be now on the positive side. Onwards & upwards! Congratulations to Fevertree staff for doing a great job! | wetdream
