17/11/2016 09:21 | On the contrary qp jet2 is not increasing its ticket only sales, it's increasing its package holiday sales to fill seats, more of an effect on Thomas Cook and Tui although jet2 still very small for now | csmwssk12hu
17/11/2016 09:11 | Ryanair, jet2 and the others will race each other to the bottom.EZJ with its superior routes, much higher proportion of business customers and commensurately higher average seat price will strengthen its position. QP - I'd suggest you read HSBC's recent very positive note on EZJ to gain a better insight into the future of the short haul market. You're lacking understating in many of the key drivers and focusing on the wrong areas. Hence why you were short at 850p and have mounting losses. | suffersnofools
17/11/2016 09:05 | You seem to be saying Gatwick is finished as a hub . Not quite as most see it. Would much prefer being based there with perfect flight times for leisure and business travelers. The real discounting will take place and Stansted with jet 2 and ryanair fighting. Remember swit great base for Easy and competition falling !! All about postioning and in my view Easy in a much better position than others. | mastey
17/11/2016 08:57 | Jet2 and WizzAir will win significant market share. RyanAir will continue to dominate. Those airlines which have strayed too far away from their original roots as pure no-frills operators will in my view suffer most at the expense of the new challengers such as Jet2 , Wizz, Norwegian et al which are highly focused. Occupying the middle ground is always an awkward and uncomfortable position. A very bumpy ride ahead as cut-throat discounting bites into profitability more and more over the winter flying season. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
17/11/2016 08:36 | SP up again and company still very undervalued.Stop losses for shorts probably clustered around 1200p. | suffersnofools
17/11/2016 08:32 | Jet2 going to hit Ryanair as biggest increase out of Stansted. Nothing at Gatwick Easyjets main southern base. | mastey
17/11/2016 08:28 | our resident fool - back to the kiddies' colouring crayons for you. Jet2 taking increasing no-frills market share. emblematic of the enormous growing competition in the sector. and the massive surge in seating capacity which will make ticket discounting even more cut throat. all feeds in to the thesis that decreasing Revenue Per Seat is going to hit profitability hard , very hard. Great recent advertising campaign by Jet2 in the Evening Standard. They are getting themselves very noticed. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
17/11/2016 08:10 | QP - 750p - laughing stock :)Broker upgrades incoming. | suffersnofools
17/11/2016 08:07 | Jet2 great results today up 7% easy jet to fly with them | csmwssk12hu
16/11/2016 22:17 | I like QP and Andy without them I wouldn't be able to read Tlobs replies, just nearly choked on my tea reading that care worker one. | csmwssk12hu
16/11/2016 19:53 | Lucas, 860p was when Andy went short and very verbal on here ! I get the feeling that QuePassa's boss has given him another shafting this morning after EasyJet results day when the share price went up 5.5% in just a day ;-) | tlobs2
16/11/2016 19:27 | 1950p to 1060p and you think that's funny?? QP | quepassa
16/11/2016 18:55 | Lol QP, Andy, you guys were saying the same thing at £8.60 and it's now climbed £2 lol! This is comical! | lucas5950
16/11/2016 18:54 | Andy, You have a great sense of humour! QP | quepassa
16/11/2016 18:44 | QueThicko and Andy Fatkins, You have both proven that you are both thick. You post doom and gloom here 24x7. You both claim that I am filtered but everybody knows that is yet another lie from the pair of you. Some might call you de-ramping internet BB cancers. I personally wouldn't like to comment. | tlobs2
16/11/2016 18:32 | I think its offensive to neanderthals to mention tslob in the same sentence as them. | andy pipkin
16/11/2016 18:21 | No doubt some further wise-cracks from our resident flat-cap. He makes a Neanderthal man look really smart. Amazing number of posters referring to me incessantly during my recent absence and asking where I was - absence clearly makes the heart grow fonder. I'm back now. One must be careful however what one wishes for. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
16/11/2016 17:56 | 1950p to 1070p and they think that's good performance. once a flat-cap, always a flat-cap. let's hazard a guess again.... 1. Some worn-out jaded wise-crack 2. Shorters will get burned 3. Working for somebody 4. Multiple people using same log-in ( that's grandad's special comment) 5. Going to get sacked 6. Some child-like play on words involving my name. A Neanderthal man looks really smart compared to our resident low-brow flat-cap. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
16/11/2016 17:46 | DOH !!!!!!!!! Yesterday the share price closed UP up 5.5%. Lets have the same again tomorrow and Friday then eh QueThicko ? I think there might well be some more staff changes shortly at QuePassa's favourite collection of village idiots AKA those fools who employ him :-) | tlobs2
16/11/2016 17:40 | Share price closes DOWN 2.5% or 27pence. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
16/11/2016 16:27 | Well great you have a view and there is nothing wrong in that however the headwinds of last year , which I accept is effecting the current financial year wreduced the profits . Overall Seat revenue held up well and with greater supply kept revenue in line. It was the cancellations due to air traffic which in addition to lost flights was unhelpful re late sale of higher value seats. As we know the French were at it all year with strikes. The sterling collapse , huge effect. Sterling is recovering GOOD news, competitors having issues GOOD news for easy, increased flexi high value seat sales , selling additions to just Mars bars. | mastey
16/11/2016 16:19 | QuePassa you obviously know more about EasyJet than the experts that are actually running it. Ask your care worker to read the fine detail of the announcement and get them to explain it to you in simple terms. It is there in black and white you eejit ! | tlobs2 |
