16/11/2016 13:39 | Yes, tslob has a history of getting everything wrong, as will be the case here, so long as the sun continues to rise in the east. | andy pipkin
16/11/2016 13:35 | wonderful thing , the filter button. | quepassa
16/11/2016 13:31 | "Yesterday's poor figures and significant reduction in PBT by £190 million against such a big increase in passenger numbers cannot be ignored in my opinion." And hence the reason why the share price rocketed yesterday by over 5%. It was an excellent day for all EasyJet shareholders. And at over 4.5% short, there are still millions of shares that need to be purchased at some point in the future. And from yesterdays results (that's results not speculation on QuePassa's part !) "Business model and strategy underpinned by sector leading balance sheet strength: easyJet ended the year with net cash of £213 million (2015: £434 million) and sector leading credit rating (Standard and Poors: BBB+, Moodys: Baa1)" | tlobs2
16/11/2016 13:28 | Hi Andy, I'm back. .... and judging by the astonishing number of times that posters have referred to me during my absence over the last few weeks...... it is by public demand. Well done for holding the fort. Yesterday's poor figures and significant reduction in PBT by £190 million against such a big increase in passenger numbers cannot be ignored in my opinion. That may prove to be the canary in the coal-mine in my view against an increasingly aggressive sector Price War. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
16/11/2016 12:31 | Don't be lonely Andy. You're not the only shorter/loser lurking on here...... You might be the biggest loser but that's another story. | tlobs2
16/11/2016 12:15 | Nice to see someone writing sense at last, QP. I was feeling lonely being the only one. | andy pipkin
16/11/2016 11:36 | Oh and also from yesterday ... Record number of passengers at 73.1 million, up 6.6% year on year with record load factor at 91.6% (2015: 91.5%), reflecting easyJet's resilient business model and ability to drive demand, even in challenging markets | tlobs2
16/11/2016 11:35 | Lest we forget, also from yesterday ...... easyJet implements its strategy of purposeful, profitable growth to secure leading positions at primary airports to drive returns over the long term | tlobs2
16/11/2016 11:32 | if you filter all the words and focus on the undeniable truth of the concrete figures, you quickly get a true reflection. PBT DOWN a whopping £190million DESPITE a surge by 6.6% in passenger numbers. And that's before the onslaught of the recent ugly Price War. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
16/11/2016 11:20 | He was angry and hot under the collar a few weeks ago when somebody posted a link to an article highlighting the comings and goings at Liberum in the UK. I'm sure that Google will find you the article in question ;-) | tlobs2
16/11/2016 11:10 | QP, you are on this board too often spreading negativity ....which suggests you work for someone? | olivert
16/11/2016 11:01 | QP, there are challenges as you point out but it's all about being well placed and innovative which Easy is. Look at air Berlin handing back planes ( 50?) , job loses , financial loses . Easy hurting them and they are reducing capacity, good news. Easy increase in add ones income, with good guidance here. Business travel % increasing. Adding news routes where demand is seen highest. Demand is still increasing overall. | mastey
16/11/2016 10:57 | QuePassa Lest We Forget ................. from yesterdays results which started of the clamour for shares resulting in an increase in price of over 5% in just a day..... "Business model and strategy underpinned by sector leading balance sheet strength: easyJet ended the year with net cash of £213 million (2015: £434 million) and sector leading credit rating (Standard and Poors: BBB+, Moodys: Baa1)" | tlobs2
16/11/2016 10:52 | OUTLOOK statement suspiciously non-committal in my opinion about next six and twelve months as far as financial performance is concerned. Lots of stuff about longer term but surprisingly little about next half and full year. One can but wonder why.... In my opinion, visibility is increasingly opaque given growing Price War. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
16/11/2016 10:52 | QP...stop the negativity!! The share price went up to £11.10...which is near the Top of £11.22 that I predicted in the last two weeks. it will drift down as "Banksters" look for their next small bit of profit somewhere else to feed their every decreasing bonuses :) | olivert
16/11/2016 10:46 | With everything that's happened EZJ have done brilliantly, hence share price spike yesterday. Winter season has always been challenging in terms of price. Things look good for next year! | lucas5950
16/11/2016 10:35 | Passengers UP 6.6% last year. Yet PROFIT BEFORE TAX DOWN £190million. And that's before the cut-throat sector discounting started getting into a really ugly Price War since October. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
16/11/2016 10:22 | "How easyJet plc can beat the Brexit naysayers after revealing record passenger numbers"http://money | lucas5950
16/11/2016 10:18 | All in the share price already. Now you're betting on all those events that caused disruption to happen next year. There won't be another brexit and the pound has fallen already. There's only an upside. EZJ hit the bottom and hit it hard! Load up (which most of us have) and enjoy that ride back up to £12+ ;) | lucas5950
16/11/2016 10:17 | PMSL ... " Doesn't comprehend that corporate profits are meant to grow year-on-year. " Profits rise and fall depending on the prevailing trading conditions you oaf !!! Words like stability, opportunity and dividend payments appear to be lacking from your list of cut and past phrases. You need to sign up for a few night school classes on basic economics ;-) Is there any reason why the EasyJet share price is getting further and further away from your Liberum target price on a weekly basis? | tlobs2
16/11/2016 10:17 | Oh qp not even Apple can keep that up, there is not a long term company in history that gets it right every year, I thank you for your genuine concern regarding our investments here, however I have more concern for yourself as no doubt you have just opened a new short at circa £11 and this is about to climb again, actually I don't care lol | csmwssk12hu
16/11/2016 10:08 | This is emblematic of the level of stupidity displayed by many users on this bulletin board. Doesn't comprehend that corporate profits are meant to grow year-on-year. With a reduction in PBT by a gob-smacking 28% this is a very negative indicator for any corporate leading financial indicators. A fall in PBT by £190million is not a positive signal. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
16/11/2016 10:06 | QuePassa you keep posting about somebody who bought at 1950p. It is somewhat tiresome. Could you do us all a favour and find a post where that has been stated and he had actually bought in at that price? Or should we report this blatant posting of lies to your employer? | tlobs2 |
