Notice Ian Walker (Moaningbible)so he takes a picture of what looks like a drain bin designed to take a recently roasted loin of pork...The fat has drained off and left a bit of residue....Not sure that is unhygienic..by his photo he looks well used to eating plenty of buns but doubt he knows out about Kitchens..

Barnsley store busy amid market redevelopment. I got a nice silverside joint for Sunday dinner. Looking forward to that with Yorkshire puds and veggies.
Thanks for the links mcmather, not helpful to any business but I Don't think there is anything that is going to hurt Crawshaws long term especially as it is unlikely to happen again.

I'm out and about so perhaps someone can help optimistic.

In closed period so no buying but once out you can expect R.R might buy to bolster his embattled CEO if thats his decision, but I'll tell you one thing it's his reputation and if he doesn't see results Noel is toast and time to implement F x E + KB = R without delay.

If you search their feed and click on the person they are talking with you'll see the conversation.

I haven't seen anything like this in our well established shops, but suspect newly opened stores are infrequently monitored or whoever is monitoring them is asleep at the wheel.

I know they have lost probably a 100 years in experience in 12 months and the majority of this was area management, so we are starting to see the consequences.

To be fair, if there ever were a time these were worth a punt that time is now. I don't see them going bust. Maybe stagnating whilst they try to get on track from trying to run before they learnt to walk but the risk is now at its lowest against expectation.

Genuinely disappointed to see those photos from the Birkenhead store on twitter, completely unacceptable and glad to see the complaint is being taken seriously. This would never have happened in any store under the stewardship of previous area managers.

What I don't understand is why a customer complaint was needed to highlight the issue, you would have thought there is someone checking standards are being maintained, is nobody doing this?

Not a line that anyone would want to be associated with; "..fast becoming the Ratners of today"!

There's a business here somewhere; the recent competition run by the Hellaby factory store has now had over 5500 shares with similar, albeit not quite as popular, results in the competitions recently run by other factory stores.

Each branch seems to have a loyal customer base. If you can get the shop staff genuinely motivated who knows...

I don't think just because you are a northern company means you need a southern CEO to be taken seriously by the city.

Stephen Gross running another Rotherham PLC is doing just fine, having met him he is just like KB in his methods and they both get the job done, albeit in a northern mentality which is perfectly acceptable and why Terry Leahy the previous Tesco CEO backed Stephen.

I am almost certain Stephen would advise K.B should he return.

We can't keep a CEO in 25K a month on this performance, if he wants to stay offer to work for nothing behind the counter in Bramley.

I want to see an example of extreme ownership (search for the book) you need someone over watching this business and we all know who that should be and talk of a petition is no doubt reaching Hellaby.

Endogenous fundamentals in absolute terms dictate that 10p is still achievable.

I'm sure Collett & Richardson will do enough to get another 12 months salary out of it, while 75% of the company work for min wage
