With discretion back in the hands of the local shop managers, we're likely to see a big drop in central costs as management slash their salaries. They'll probably be on about 80% of that paid to the shop managers.

CT....You cannot do shorts in the Stock Challenge and naturally I hope your prophecy turns out to be wrong....the new factory outlet stores are definitely doing well but need the high street ones to get back to previous levels with the local store managers having more selection and price options for their regular customers now.

I thought you were heavily into Tandem TND.

Good luck. I need to join this site and have a go.
CRAW would be my short of the year however as the high street is not the place to be.
Food retailing makes the problems that Next have look miniscule.

Avoid at all costs......... unless you want to get caught in the cross fire between Aldi-lidl v Morrisons/Asda/Tesco.

Walk away with the 24p today.

We share a pick for the year as RTC is one of mine and I see it is up 5% today so a good start to the year. My other three are SCS, WJG and IGR

sefton1....I am not a prolific poster but do read things. You are clearly mischievous if calling me a 'ramper' and I have certainly not sold out. CRAW is one of my seven picks for 2017 on Twitter and also chosen as one of my five in the Stockchallenge for 2017

Bought back in this morning. There are a few signs that #CRAW is stirring again. A few hefty buys, FT 60p target & a top pick by Carmensfella - who knows this company inside out. Good enough for me.

Looks like there might be a run up to the Trading Update 6 Jan 2017. The shops certainly seem busier, the company appear to have sorted themselves out in terms of social media and so a decent update together with any news of plans for new shop openings in 2017 could see an interesting re-rating; a decent TU will also add to my belief that CRAW attract a different customer to those who simply undertake a weekly shop in their local supermarket.
