the supermarket wars hot up.

Asda is loosing 66k a day just on Carrots.

That's on cost excluding wages and other on costs.
Asda go 20p a bag
Aldi go 19p

The whole market is wrong and driven by massive deals like this.

They are selling at HALF the cost price.

How can any business work against this.
Its the same on Beer and Champagne (8.00 each). It costs 10.00 plus VAT with Duty etc.

The madness will have to stop.

No buyers again yet they haved upped the bid a touch...must be looking for stock!

It appears they were looking for stock....on that day and several others.
Hope the new owners are building a position with something interesting in mind.

Jeez - does veganism rot the brain? Everybody (who's clean that is) knows it has to be done by the light of the full moon! No hope in the middle of the day at 5am!

Cheers chaps.

And tiger good luck with the case against Denny / Sale. He's probably made for life now but it'll be interesting if the change of code didn't work out (not unlikely). Would he come out of 'retirement' and which club would be prepared to offer him a contract given his previous lack of respect??

Carlton street.........

We have one retail store just off it and the family still own two properties on it.

My office is 150 m from the CRAW store. I supply the odd thing in there.

Pretty awful thing to say but Carlton street survives on M and S being there. They open at JTN 32 in next 2 years.
After that its disabled and poor folk only. A few workers but all bottom end stuff.

In every town they go to there will be Billy somebody who has a great name as the local butcher.
Well Colin sold all his shares that was the first Alarm.

Peoples jobs at strake I hope I am wrong but I doubt it.

Good luck.

Not sure what value this has for a butchers shop, however according to google trends it looks like there has been a recovery in the number of people searching for "crawshaws butchers"........https://www.google.co.uk/trends/explore?q=Crawshaws%20butchers

Weather looking good in the run up to Christmas so this should come as a big relief to our management.

Suppliers and store managers, eh, penciles. You're not a 'bull', are you??

btw, I've just nipped in to a store for my dinner, not massive numbers admittedly but 6 people either got served or arrived to be served in the 60 seconds I was on site. Still not too shabby considering the time of day.
