Trading update due on 6th Jan... To early to know if they are having a good Christmas, those selling can't know any figures yet. As far as I can see Fear is all that is driving this movement.... (let us know if anyone knows differently?)Net asset vale of 33p a share tells me this could be oversold.. I would not be surprised with some speculative buys coming in at these prices..

I don't think you were laughed at Castleford, well without going back to look which I'm not going to do. Anyway your cautionary view is proving correct. I got stopped at 30p.

I have to visit Derby next week and will try to pop into their store, nearest one to me. I hope their meat's good.

Its a blood bath out in the retail world.
I mentioned a 10% increase in cost of product and was laughed at. Its real trust me.

Also chance of getting retail price up ZIP.

The shares are worth 26p they were worth 30/35p and I suggested selling.

This has 10p or even nothing written all over it.

I hold no position and wish nobody to loose money but the high street is not a good place.
Avoid as I keep saying.

Whenever I emailed the previous CEO he always responded, perhaps if Noel is too busy he should ask his PA to respond on his behalf? Nobody likes being ignored so I hope you get a reply.

Like a lot of things tadders, it's just doing the small things correctly. Do them right and the bigger stuff tends to look after itself.

Once again..glad to hear stores are busy. I think it is unforgivable that you do not get a response.

The management have performed woefully in the past 6 months or so:

Clueless social media route.
Blaming some football games in france and issues around Brexit re their indifferent results (brexit was 23 June 2016, the euros were a few games over one month and their results only covered up until 31 July 2016).
Being slow to remedy matters.
And generally doing little to suggest that they were getting a grip.

I've communicated with the company on a couple of occasions recently re some concerns. Any response? Nope.

That all said, I visit the stores on quite a few occasions and you are now tending to see the same faces, moral seems decent and the shops are busier and, indeed, seemingly getting very busy.

Question is though why have Noel Collett (Chief Executive Officer) and Alan Richardson (Chief Financial Officer) yet to buy shares (significant holding) in the enterprise that pays their decent salaries?

Nobody would pay 29p when 27.5p offer, probably old trade, just throwing money
away so highly unlikely to be a 1.5p premium buy.

Chart looks abysmal

But is on the bounce back since

a roll over of 24,745 and a 25K buy @ 29p when offer is 27.50p but is well over the size

That's a 10.17% drop this morning...it should be serious enough for a statement from...well, whoever!

It wants to get f'ing busy, the way this is going he can cut up Rudolph and the rest of the red nosed brigade, stick 'em on display as a special santa offer. Should go like hot cakes, kids love reindeer!

If I were in Noels position I'd request a list of staff with 10 years service irrespective of current position and setup an advisory panel and run anything via them before implementing.

It's all about knowing the Crawshaw customer....
