08/3/2017 15:19 | Held up well so far after results. Time will tell but IMO there is a good opportunity here. Possible downside of a combination of increasing debt and static profit. The high debt cost make the dividend venerable if profit were to decrease and debt climb. This may though prove to be under control. On balance had started to look a bit oversold. | jimbo44
07/3/2017 20:07 | That is silly, everyone is interested in the share price. People saying the price is not of interest just mean that small movements are not going to prompt buying or selling as they are long term investors. Large movements, however, of course, might. | edmundshaw
07/3/2017 18:23 | JAF, I am interested in the share, that's why I post. However people who claim to have no interest in the share PRICE seem to post quite a lot about the share PRICE. | rcturner2
07/3/2017 15:01 | RCT, 'yet here you are posting 5 times a day about the share price movements' And yet you post many times a day and don't even hold. | jaf1948
07/3/2017 14:49 | 113mike - you are a good boy!K C | kcsham
07/3/2017 14:44 | "Short covering may also happen on an involuntary basis in the case of stocks with very high short interest, which may subject short sellers to a "buy in." This refers to the closing out of a short position by a broker-dealer if the stock is extremely difficult to borrow and its lenders are demanding it back."Worrying fact for the shorters and their mates!K C | kcsham
07/3/2017 14:42 | Except me! | 113mike
07/3/2017 14:32 | The funny thing is that you guys claim to be income investors for whom the share price is irrelevant, yet here you are posting 5 times a day about the share price movements? | rcturner2
07/3/2017 14:22 | NY Boy - I would like to be as clever as you are! K C | kcsham
07/3/2017 14:15 | Bought some more, a favourable budget would be nice but not everything, I just think this got too cheap and value investors moved in. | ny boy
07/3/2017 14:13 | NY market is going to open shortly, I am interested to see how this will affect London/Carillion today. If NY market opens substantially lower (unlikely), will that gives the shorters an other day?The shorters are cornered, they need a very "big good luck" to get theirselves out of the hole that they dug diligently in the past 2 odd years.I expect another day of substantial buy orders will appear on record after 16:30 today. | kcsham
07/3/2017 13:58 | Also, I think latest short positions are as at Fri 3/3/17. | m4rtinu
07/3/2017 12:55 | Price up, shorting up to 26%. It is ready to blow. | this_is_me
07/3/2017 12:50 | A nice rise today :) I am not confident that Hammond's budget speech is going to bring anything meaningful re spending on infrastructure projects unfortunately | haywards26
07/3/2017 11:49 | Yes - but if you draw a line of closing prices, we are now above that. For chartists this is what they are looking for. Hopefully onwards and upwards from here. Once short positions start to close then this should be in a much stronger place. GLA. | oggyrocks
07/3/2017 11:46 | Think 227p is roughly 1 month high. | m4rtinu
07/3/2017 11:38 | On closing prices - Looking at one year chart, we have firmly broken the downtrend. (if it closes at this price or above) Looking at the three year chart, we need to break around 240 (and close above) How long will the short sellers hold out for ? | oggyrocks
07/3/2017 10:34 | WJ - You enjoy yourself! | kcsham
07/3/2017 10:00 | KC I am on the yacht all this week, with limited internet, so yes nice and steady, better than a large spike. WJ. | w1ndjammer
07/3/2017 09:59 | Have probably posted this link before: Purports to show key SPs viz resistance and support. | m4rtinu
07/3/2017 09:51 | 'Curse' of the Daily Telegraph! Do the opposite in other words..... Good to see a move up! GLA | red_shed2000
07/3/2017 09:47 | I am interested to see the response of the shorters today. | kcsham
07/3/2017 09:45 | WJ - I believe the funds have already started buying in the past 2 days. It showed in the buying pattern I mention in my post yesterday.I prefer the share price rising slows down a bit but continually in a steady pace. However, I am not complaining. Just want to make sure the shorters will not have a chance to play their old trick. K C | kcsham
07/3/2017 09:28 | Will spike big time if bears are on the wrong side of the trade. | ny boy
07/3/2017 09:27 | I added recently, let's see if they get a bump up after Hammond speaks tomorrow. Long term hold and a buyer of decent pull backs for me. | ny boy |
