123Trev - I agree with you that Brexit could be a problem in a near future. Be honest, I am more worry about a longer term of the whole world. Is the problems of the last financial melt down all resolved? I don't believe so. What I can do is to take the advantage of the present sunshine and watching like a hawk. Hopefully, everything will be okay! K C

123Trev - You really starts me off. Okay! I let you know a bit more about me. I started working as a high school leaver for years before I got back to further my study and got my first degree with first class honours in Civil Engineering decades ago. I then work for a major international construction company for a few years and back to study and finished my PhD degree (so I have a title Dr.) I had commuted between my University and my home once a week using a £150 old car for over three years. The journey was over 100 miles long one way.I worked hard and learnt hard all the time. No company wants to let me go and they failed. Then I decided to settle down and built my family. I work for a major land, property and development company for about 2 decades, I managed an infrastructure design team and dealt with consultants for many major projects. In that period of time I had finished a master degree course in IT and I had also earned myself a certified Microsoft System Engineer qualification, all funded by the company that I worked for. I make myself a millionaire through investment in shares and properties and started to enjoy my early retirement life years ago.I don't look down upon anybody but those people could lie through their back end just for little bit of money (they can only get it if they were lucky) just like that little guy. Do you think I will worry about forgetting a proper term for UT. I have advised that little guy behave himself and wished him good luck in his investment (he should do it in a proper way) You see what you did, just ..........K C

That's quite alright KC! Edmund we are long overdue the big one but I was referring to those we get from time to time like in February last year and was it Brexit some months later these add to the pressure of weakened stocks and one is definitely overdue imo.

123Trev - I used iii to record my investment in full for years, I knew about UT for years and how it works in detail. Now I was reminded about the proper term the closing trade, that is fine and no big deal. Sometimes you need to let the little guy has his day to feel good. Otherwise, he will stick on you like a leech. I already told the guy that I will not answer his question or post some time ago, I cannot see why I to explain more to the guy. He remind me some thing I forgot and I honestly appreciated that no problem at all.

"The market is due another strong correction" - another one? Where is the first "strong correction"? we are at all time highs.

I agree that the market indices may drop at some point. Looking back in history they does go down as well as up. But the price of Carillion has not exactly correlated with the market indices...

I made a small return on the bounce here but generally believe as I have stated previously that the direction of this share is down much further my guess in the months to come perhaps £1.50-60 a share. The market is due another strong correction that could be article 50 trigger or any number of looming disasters any excuse for the big boys.Kc,what's said here makes know difference to the price on a share like this all comments are irrelevant to the shares movement.I was very surprised you didn't understand what a U/T was this is basic investing knowledge.

I am glad that I have learnt the proper term "uncrossing trade" from the guy. I will remember that and use it for 4:35 last trade next time. I told my children all the time that we need to learn new thing in every opportunities, it can even occasionally learn from those with lowest .......Very much appreciated!

RCTurner2 - 23 Feb 2017 - 10:05 - 3794 of 4326 - 0JAF, hedge funds do far more leg work than most people realise. Yes they really do go to sites and visit people, talk to people in the supply chain, pretend to be customers etc. They don't look at a company's accounts for half an hour and then decide to go short.RCTurner2 - 23 Feb 2017 - 11:21 - 3812 of 4326 - 1to give two examples that I know are factual1) a fund actually periodically placed orders with an internet company in order to track the order numbers used on their purchases2) a fund sent staff to a manufacturing site specifically to talk to people in cafes about the current tradingkcsham - 23 Feb 2017 - 11:30 - 3813 of 4326 - 0RC - Have ever worked on a construction? You really believe shorters will be invited to have a site visit by the site manager? This will not happen. Nobody will be allowed to be without permission. No permission means no entry and no insurance cover for any trespassers. Your suggestion that shorters actually visited sites to gather information to support your decision making is laughable.I said the above because I was a senior site manager/agent for over a decade.kcsham - 23 Feb 2017 - 11:34 - 3814 of 4326 - 0RC - I see,it is site visit after all.Somebody in a cafe? Interesting and I enjoy your finding, full of fun.

kcsham, you really have no idea what you are talking about

the "one trade" is the uncrossing trade (UT) which happens every day

Sir A

Black Rock are probably the only short with a good reason, as they are long
almost 9% so they have taken their short to protect their holding against
the other shorters.

Interesting looking at who the shorters of CLLN are also shorting a few of them have other service groups on shorts as well and to prove shorters dont know everything Blackrock are shorting AmecFW and increased in February that will cost them.

Berkeley motoring ahead today after their trading update. They are also a heavily shorted stock, which shows the shorters can be beaten.
