Hi Folks. I was right in that the dividend would hold and the company would say business as usual...but they didn't mention the doubling of the pension deficit which is hugely significant for investors. I exited my position and suggest you do the same while you can but do your own research..

I don't fully understand today's RNS on "Holdings". It comes under the heading of "An acquisition or disposal of instruments with similar economic effect to qualifying financial instruments"?

It states under "type of financial instrument": "right to recall lent shares"

What interests me is the expiry date for these lent shares: 19/12/2019, which I believe is when CLNs expire.

Anyone able to explain, please?

I'm still holding and have no intention of selling at least as long as the dividend holds up.

The battle between the sellers and buyers is ongoing and the result is still undecided. The brokers' target price will not affects my investment decision. However, there are still a lot of people will like to follows the herd. You spend your money, you pick your choice! It is all down to personal choice.

lab, right, brokers' targets have been demonstrated more than once to be lagging indicators. That is, they tell you what happened in the past, and are very poor predictors of the future. Broker analysis can be interesting, broker targets are in the main just useless. In my opinion.

Reason for fall....Broker Peel Hunt. Reduce , target £2.00. Funny how all these brokers had £3 targets a year ago. They never predict correctly but just change their opinions only after a fall. It is a tragedy that the market still heeds them.

Read somewhere that Carillion recent years growth was due to acquisitions and that this has dried up of late. Any views, please?

Manpower survey out this am says "Construction" hiring intentions very buoyant. Not sure if this is house builders or commercial.

Thanks poacher, I do appreciate your taking the trouble.

I used to use Euroclear for this information. A top site but they never had the detail your site shows.

Been away for the past week. Price up about 10% in that time. That's quite a rapid rise - could this be the start of a short squeeze?

I bought some more; it looks like we are on the up with the help of a short squeeze.

Once the short closing starts, it will accelerated. The shorters will all rushing to the exit door as soon as possible, I hope they could find their way alright!K C
