28/3/2017 08:42 | Another broker downgrade. Hold from buy. 230p from 360p. As usual a broker reacting long after an event. They can predict nothing. | lab305

24/3/2017 11:30 | Thanks Rc , certainly looks tempting, with possible capital gain also. | gemlotte55
24/3/2017 11:06 | gem, good question I suspect when the yield gets this high people will wonder whether it might be cut. On their current numbers there is no reason why it should be cut, it depends on how you view Carillion's prospects going forward. | rcturner2
24/3/2017 09:17 | Great yield with this one, has there been any worries that the dividend will be cut here? | gemlotte55
24/3/2017 09:07 | RCT, looks interesting, but has it already had its best days, any further weakness in the numbers and it will get hit, weather it deserves it or not. Its on the watch list. Low shares in issue so it would fly on good news, divi very attractive unless it was cut, its another one of those, not without risk. WJ. | w1ndjammer
24/3/2017 08:06 | WJ, any views on NAHL, stupendous yield available there? | rcturner2
23/3/2017 13:02 | Statement by KIER but of relevance. | m4rtinu
23/3/2017 12:34 | He was talking in general, and that was my answer, and its not isolated quite obvious it could not happen here. WJ. | w1ndjammer
23/3/2017 09:46 | BLVN is a tenth of the size of Carillion. Not really a comparative. AIM is a different market entirely for PI influence. | jamesryan123
20/3/2017 09:02 | wrong again, the pi has just swung the vote over at BLVN got rid of a longstanding CEO and his board . WJ. | w1ndjammer
20/3/2017 08:50 | Direct investments held by private investors are such a small part of the market that they are irrelevant. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. | rcturner2
20/3/2017 08:47 | No but they like the low volume so they can hit the stock, so every bit helps. hmmmmm someone round here has not got very good manners..... WJ. | w1ndjammer
20/3/2017 08:42 | Shorters are not concerned about small fry investors. | rcturner2

20/3/2017 08:25 | Its today's RNS. Carillion awarded £90 million contract by the UK Defence Infrastructure Organisation to design and build a communications centre in Cyprus The Defence Infrastructure Organisation has awarded Carillion the contract to design and build a new communications facility in Cyprus, which will be a single story building, approximately 10,000 square metres in area, with temperature and humidity controlled environments. Construction will start in April 2017 and be completed by the end of January 2019. In welcoming the award, the Chief Executive of Carillion plc, Richard Howson, said: "We are delighted to have been selected by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation to design and build this project and we look forward to building on the strong relationship we have with the DIO as we work closely together to deliver this important new facility". | edmundshaw

20/3/2017 08:19 | RCT Think i already mentioned, i used to supply labour, to main contractors, carillion for about 5 years others for 25 years i had a crew which were certified for work on ministry defence and HMP its very strict they check family back ground etc. most of the work was priced job lot, some were daywork MD would often carry plus 40% on top of the normal say commercial contract, and HMP would be double. i have no idea what the main contractors were charging but the Subbies "me" usually got the thin end of the wedge. but i could always find savings, and often find better ways of doing things, then convince the consultants to change tack. WJ. | w1ndjammer
20/3/2017 08:05 | WJ, based on your experience what would be the likely margin? | rcturner2
20/3/2017 07:53 | nice Ministry of defence contract, i always found those to be very lucrative. WJ. | w1ndjammer
