and I thought this was a good Hollywood or bust punt this morning.... I was at least half right... As I just wrote in my blog, the level of misguidance in small caps now is just horrendous.

They need a lot more than 50mill.Take a look back at the previous costs of the hylas satellites.And I thought they took debt on for those.I'm sure debt levels are sonething like 190million already.And they're on about more satellites.Can see this doing nothing but drifting down now....and cash raising will only become more expensive in the current climate Or they may need a full recapitalisation and rebasing of the share structure and nominal value.Looking scary here

$50m will just be the start (if they can raise it) as with their history I think a lot more will be needed to keep funding the cashburn.

I was invested in AVN for a short while this year, lost a little on the trade, after today's news it could have been an awfull lot worse, hope it gets better for you guys from here on !! ATB

I did say a few weeks ago they would need a lot of money.

The idea of this business is good, but it's taking time to build contracts, more time than many realised. And contract values are small when compared to the 300 mill cost of the hylas satellites.

Bad day for investors here, glad I sold out and bought some GWMO instead.

I told you Williams had been rather creative with the accounts and now it has come home to roost.

Thanks for your concern Luke - but I'm still up this week from my AU and AG stocks. AVN may be a good buy once funding is finalised. I'm out at 40p, but may buy back once settled. A takeover may change things.

Now slightly peeved I got shaken out of my short. The predicted happened. Actually I thought the trading statement was worse than the placing announcement, which I didn't even notice at first.
