I think I will sell some next time it hits 300 and buy back lower. It might relieve the tedium.

Long time holder and lurker on this thread.
Just spoken with my broker wrt truth about Avanti and FB.
My take was that the rumour is true , but Avanti cannot cover the whole area required by FB . Expects deal to go through but shortfall to be made with other providers ( SES ??) .
Avn going to need more cash , but will probably get bought out before.

Just spotted an interesting post on iii. I wonder why SES spends so much effort to do Avanti down? Maybe it would be easier for them to make nice ;-)

FACT 1. Chris Forrester of Advanced Television has been one of the bitterest critics of Avanti. Never, it seems landing a punch, but always snitty and sour. In almost every article denigrating Avanti. He also extols the comparative virtues of SES and its offspring 03B.

FACT 2. SES tried to take spectrum from Avanti in an ITU battle. The trade press including Forrester were all over it in 2012, but Avanti won, as Space News declared at the time. Clearly SES is unhappy about the big spectrum ransom strip that Avanti now has over it.

FACT 3. Chris Forrester has co-edited books about SES and the TV industry with Markus Payer, who LinkedIn records as Vice President of Communications at SES.... www.alibris.co.uk/High-Above/book/17265228

FACT 4. SES is omnipresent as an advertiser on Advance television

So, Forrerster has at least two sources of income involving SES.

Thus, it would not be a wild leap to conclude that Forrester is merely a hack whose job it is to smear Avanti whilst puffing SES.
