They always have enough to buy back stock without it impacting net assets much.

Apologies for late reply Keith. Ive picked up around 10k shares including the buy today since my post. Would still happily pick up more stock. Especially if the share price spiked lower!

Summer aircon can be a massive money spinner when its hot but not this year I'm afraid. There could be some hot spots in August which may help a little.

The average of about 18 inches of rainfall over the country since April will have not only caused local flooding, it will have raised the water table so that any digging/building work will encounter water a little way down and will therefore need pumps. Think it's going to be more than having 'pumps at work for a few weeks'. However, it probably wont offset the loss of the aircon.

How big is chunky? Chunky means different things to different people.

I would have thought air con would have been a bigger money spinner for them than having their pumps at work for a few weeks this summer. Im not too fussed either way to be honest. Just wish I could get hold of a chunky line of stock.

Tks for your views , as always ...must be a strange year for Sykes , everything is back to front but at least there are extremes to keep them active

Well, a disaster for the a/c this summer but pumps must be sucking in the money, and driers for that matter. Possible heat to come in August may help a/c fingers crossed. US must be doing some a/c business too. Looking ok overall but its hard to know how well the pumps are doing after a few dry years. Might find a significant surge but we'll have to wait until the interim statement.

Cold weather at this time of year is not good. The flooding has helped a bit but no major property damage, so not wonderful. Still, the pumps must be doing a bit better. We need heat now but no sign of that for the next few weeks.
