However, I used to do work on North sea surges that are produced by very deep lows swinging from the Atlantic into southern Scandinavia. They bring a raised water level and if coincident with storm force winds and spring tides can produce a nightmare scenario around the southern North Sea eg 1953. If water levels are rising slowly and storms becoming more frequent then it is only a matter of time before it happens again, but worse!

OK, chances of a tropical/sub-tropical hurricane developing over the steamy waters of the north sea are lowish. Probably around the zero probability mark or slightly lower.

Panic not Keith ...was just thinking if we ever had a similar situation to that in the States last weekend how it would unfold in the UK or the Lowlands of Europe

God forbid it happens but the potential for Sykes if we have a horror story of floods on the East of the UK ...

Hope all their depots are on high ground

All this international expansion would suggest a whopper dividend is off the cards for now. Happy enough if we get 10p or so. All these weather extremes should be creating excellent opportunities for future earnings growth overseas.

Actually, they did change from London Securities to London Security because people thought they were dealing in securites and not security, if you see what I mean.

See "The Murray Group" appear to be building another hotel in Florida.
Called The Grand Beach Hotel and is located at Surfside, Florida . They already have a Grand Beach Hotel at Miami Beach , Florida !
Put those two with the 5 top quality hotels they own in Switzerland , the London Securities Holding which is worth ever nearer to quarter of a £billion , ASY and goodness knows whatother property investments are held worldwide and life is very comfortable.

Please dyor etc.

Thank you Dear Sir ...

With all these new depots , could we have the forecast for Italy, Belgium, Holland and Ireland please , not forgetting the need for pumps in the U.S.

No rush ...

(only joking)

We've seen 25/26C in places most days this week but there's been a lot of cloud about and there's only been a few hotspots. Next week looking altogether warmer everywhere but still with showers. Should help the a/c though, at long last.

Not really got the highest of hopes for the second hope as the weather hasn't been very kind. Still healthily profitable and generating huge wads of cash though. Wish they would just crack on with the buyback and push the shares up as Murray has done elsewhere.

Headline on my Internet Provider is "Temperatures set to sizzle as summer finally arrives " ...we'll see.

Chatting to a chap in the a/c industry in a small way and he said that he likes it when summer comes late. His reasoning being that air conditioning is turned on and because it has not been used for a while , it needs servicing or repair. No idea how true that may be.

Must admit that I always turn my central heating on a couple of times during the summer just to keep the pumps turning etc.
