20/2/2017 11:27 | I remember thinking that when the share price was 29. I don't think it's the best buy out there any more but I'm here and like most of us, I think the day I sell will be the day before the share price reaches potential. | lucyp00p
20/2/2017 10:02 | Amer is still the Best Buy out there,,,we just need the bod to stroke our fevered brow and then it's ,,,,,booooooooom time !! | trotting12
20/2/2017 09:21 | Both double the market cap here. Such different propositions from AMER, I would have thought from a quick look, as neither in full production mode (at least not showing revenue per last available accounts)and SOU also has debt. What is the expected operating profit per barrel/unit of oil/gas? Here, the attraction is that as OBA throughput increases, at current oil prices, the company is highly profitable and payback on each well is quick. All of that makes this a low risk play and yet it also has massive potential: just look at the acreage and the leads. Always interesting to see comparative factual analysis, particularly with consideration of the risks involved. | charlieeee
20/2/2017 08:51 | HUR has further to go, SOU is overpriced (IMHO). Better to buy unloved but sound shares that have potential to rise than shares that have already seen massive spikes and are just asking to be whacked :) | rollthedice
20/2/2017 07:35 | This share is toxic. You all need to sell this dog, it been going sideways for year. Get SOUND or HURRICANE, it not to late, but do sell this pile of pooh. | astorcourt
19/2/2017 23:47 | £1.65? | 3roach

19/2/2017 20:05 | £1 by Christmas? | bigwavedave
19/2/2017 18:17 | Doom doom doom that's all we seem to get on this thread come on now let's be a bit more upbeat | juuunx2
17/2/2017 16:53 | Deleted the post?.. I am thinking of deleting mesel.. 20p new future. | valentine
17/2/2017 16:41 | oilandgas1, Great minds, I got half way through a post on that very subject but changed my mind. I was actually going to post on the speculation around management buy out and placings. I dismissed management buyout for one simple reason, a price has to be agreed, the management don't have a large enough steak to make things difficult and could well find themselves put out to pasture should an attempt like that be made. I just don't think it will happen. On top of that, I don't see GC as a full time oil exec and my view is that it would have to be him who led the attempt. It just isn't his MO. As for a placing, they are fully funded for the capex for this year. So any placing would be either an acquisition or a deal with one of their partners. They appear to be talking to Petroamazonas a lot at the moment, so I speculated that with the collapse of the Block 58 deal it could be possible that Amerisur become operator and take a small steak in Block 58, in return they may well have to give up a share of their ownership of blocks in Colombia, carry out some refurbishment work and build the new pump station. It would be a massive deal for Amerisur, we are talking about previous buyers committing to $2 billion of spending. I think we would be a last resort , but it would improve production on Block 58, ensure that any commitments were met, offer us some much needed diversification and short term cashflow. I think it's a 100-1 shot to be honest, the deal is too big for us in my opinion, but I considered it for five mins and then deleted the post :-) | al101uk
17/2/2017 16:33 | Oilandgas 1 All of the above are possible, other than no 5. | blackdown2
17/2/2017 16:33 | [IMG] (just a test of inserting a pic into message boards) .. but some useful info . hopefully major shareholders will continue to press AMER senior management | oilandgas1
17/2/2017 16:30 | It has always been run like a private company! | bigwavedave
17/2/2017 16:24 | Operating loss of £24m last year with a £20m tax saving buying Petto Derado, has this been factored into last year or this year's figures and last years lisses based on low oil price in 2015 where we started to stockpile oil until at least $50pb. Year end 2016 all be it lower bopd as forecast will see it into profit once again which should bring fresh blood to buy... | francis55
17/2/2017 16:24 | Some bright light ... from LSE board .. PAM deal seems to be under discussion If PAM Petro Amaz need AMER to build new Pump station & Refurbish others as per Nov Pres - (Cash strapped & China pulling out etc etc + Country although sticking to OPEC can export Columbian crude) they will have to allow AMER to push more thru the OBA to get the cashflow. In a perfect post 100% Compliance world - 1. WTI+$55. 2. AMER New territory in ECU for Capex. 3. Deal swap with Canacol Colombia for Ecuador. 4. PAM & AMEr partnership deeper level OBA +10kbpd 5. GC gets humility, 6. FARC become proper farmers. GLA All are possible but not in that order or timescale. We have no debt and an RBL of $60m - PAM will know we can't borrow any more unless substantially more Oil goes thru the pipeline. GN We are in a win win given the risks & still in Malcy's Bucket list. | oilandgas1
