petroamazon gettin no farm outs done and who area looks in a pickle coz land rights bein disputed

if want to hold his job , rex tell him to do a placin at 18p so ii can load up with more shares before sellin business later in year

cash raise will be for pumpin station costs and extra pipeline works or buyin production or sommat.

The point is do not create a rod for your own back by having targets consistently failing

You make a ridiculous incorrect statement about 'about which you probably do not care'.

Of course I care but I did not make the overly optimistic timescales

Hi guys
Let's put this directors shares to bed, the directors hold significant shares in AMER, and of course they want the share price to do well, ( their execution and comminication capabilities are well challenged and they have local political issues to solve - they need to provide a view on issues and updates in progress and move to other wells to drill while play-22 issues persists)

Amer director holdings:

( any yes GC and JW need to deliver (in 7 to 8 weeks) a lot ( or be ousted) between now and the AGM against what they stated 4 wells in 4 months, 7.2kbopd via OBA by 31mar ( or soon after) increased overall production and Pad5 to pad9 interconnection News!)

Much is continuing to be made of the options taken before Xmas, where enough were sold (as is reasonably common practice) to satisfy the Schedule E tax liability that becomes immediately payable.

Generally, disposing of shares is a bad sign, I would agree, but in this case, the directors were adding to their shareholding by exercising options that would have otherwise expired: describing it as a disposal is disingenuous.

Sometimes, fat cats are paid enormous sums because they "think smart".

Try and explain to me why it would be a good idea to wheel the Serinoco Rig D-10 to Pad 2N, risking it in the rump end of the political dispute (probably angry "farmers", no longer protected by FARC, now having their cash crop destroyed, a short and very bitter moment in time).

Apart from anything else, (such as loss of life, about which you probably do not care) how long would it take to get a replacement rig operational, if the one on site gets damaged?

In this particular case, a few weeks will make all the difference, as the government (assisted by the international community: ironically with less funding to promote peace, than engage in the prior war)deal with the situation, rolling out the plan in this district.

I am happier to have funds with a company demonstrating a sensitive and intelligent approach when required and that is said by someone who has worked in a country at a time of regime change.

Suppose that if we have got any kind of light hidden under a bushel, the next few weeks might be a good time to reveal it.

They sold to cover annual Tax bill..Same year on year. Consider the approach to AGM..unless the mooted takeover bid happens prior to that.

I wholly agree with that, Trotting: the man, for all his faults, does not fall in the category of idle dreamers, wishing for a crock of gold at the end of every rainbow.

Experienced in "choosing the moment" to sell a business, GC sees why the "for sale" sign should go up now, with the USP of an unexploited "oily" address due to 60 years of internal conflict, finally reaching closure.

In the presentation, much is made of that first mover advantage, with boots on the ground and a decent portfolio of assets at various stages of exploration and development, plus a working OBA.

With that as the plan, one can see why they are playing a careful game: this is not the moment, as Colombia stands in the full glare of the international spotlight, to provoke an incident that would blight AMER's sale prospects. Instead, the PR machine is starting to crank up.

Looking at the major holdings information, AMER does have (including management) some 60% of the register in this category and for them, a sale is the only way forward (disposing of large holdings on market is wholly counter productive, as RH discovered, to his cost...and ours, last year|).

Presumably, the likes of Malcy has kept it in the bucket list with the expectation that this will happen sooner rather than later?

GC resigning from ECB position means ES now rather than hallowed T'Times. Funny how status works. How the mighty have fallen?

Approx 1.2m sold 1m bought on a flat day but still support at 24p. Interesting, says volume is the key to a sharp rise and a decent year end report should attract some larger external interest as quite a few stock houses have it in line for further increase of 47% to 69% in 2017.

"His hope is that takeover-hungry majors will set their sights on Amerisur. “Small or medium-sized oil companies tend to end up in large oil companies,” he muses."

Sounds like a man who has had enough of it to me and wants out. Goes a long way to explaining why the pipeline took so long, you can almost sense his lack of enthusiasm.

His chief executive John Wardle runs the show on the ground but Clarke makes presentations to the company’s Indian partner ONGC for an obvious reason: “They’re all cricket nuts.” It also helps that he speaks Urdu. A passion for languages blossomed at Rugby School, and he read Persian with Arabic at Oriel College, Oxford.
