101 Amer has no long term stability and is a gold mine in regards to it rises and falls. If there were more of these type of shares i would be on them. Granted one of the times i will get roasted but not as much as what i make as i have stop losses in place to cover decline and trailing stops to lock in profit. I very rarley hold a share longer than 6 months..

level 2 looking a little stronger. I guess if there are people who sold out higher up and now sat watching (de-ramping_, and shorters watching, once it turns, it should move up quickly as there is a scramble..imho

Fascinated by your strategy Fancis, could you explain exactly how the hedging part of your strategy works to make you money and how it would not be more cost effective to just carry a smaller long position?

I am sitting on close to 700k shares bought at various prices with an average of 26p but i also have a tidy sum making me money shorting or hedging Amer you choose the word that your comfortable with. Play the game to score people not defend otherwise you best off in bookies to gamble your money.Simple question - can you afford to loose your money invested in Amer - if the answer is no then you should not be here in the first place. If you did not hedge your investment then take your losses and save any more

you miss the point here

look at chart, you will see the biggest rsi fall ever

traders not buyin the low rsi coz it so bad it looks like full correction to lower downtrend on way

this to be expected coz company jus put drills back to late in year

why they do that? coz they not like to drill this year due to regional land ownership issues

Giles and Wardle deserve to get boot coz they not say any fink about ecuador pipeline problems

this stock not goin to bounce back anytime soon it jus drift down and down and down

no one gonna buy in colombia due to post peace deal issues

petroamazonas in trouble by looks of it

Spread Betting, CFD, and Binary Option provider's are manipulating the UK stock market to such an extent, that it creates very high levels of volatility within our top 250 UK listed companies.

The resulting fallout from these providers has turned what was once an optional investment strategy for private investors, into a cesspool of manipulated criminality that now controls our stock market through what are known as 'STOP-OUT' clauses.

Folks this is relatively easy. Look at the charts over last 18 months. 3 opportunities to make 30 to 35% and then short back to 24p - you could not write it any better and once again approx 4 to 6 weeks prior to a forecast report its at 24p again. WTF are you waiting for?

Interesting article in London evening standard last Friday which featured Amer as a potential takeover target as there is renewed interest by the oil majors in South America. The article was specifically around Giles Clark but they mentioned how well Amer was doing and that it was still under the radar but a well run company with take over a serious possibility. I'm sticking around for that.

A friend who is a top hedge fund director had heard roumers one of the major EU pension pots is looking at South American Oil and Amer is on the radar? Do they know perhaps its a takeover target and looking at a quick buck? All you pro's on here must have an answer instead of the negative tosh you talk cause you have no nerve to hold on a tad longer.

There is still a seller on the background, but not interested on selling below those prices, that is why the shares price has been around this prices for the last week

Not many impressed, so far. What do they need to say?
Forget trying to communicate with the hairy Mellon's. Go for those who attend the presentations for info. Second hand but GC and co do the Robert frost thing with 'the Lowells speak only to Cabots and the Cabots speak only to God'. Good luck.. AGM revelations in may.. unlikely before imo.

I wonder if the fact that we have added EIA's and delayed the drill bit is a sign that local concerns are being addressed and could be resolved sooner rather than later?
