12/1/2007 11:30 | Hectorp, Looks like you are right about the market's reaction yesterday. I was hopeing to pick up some more ADN at 177p but...... it would seem that the Asian markets are recovering ... read that somewhere. | piedro
12/1/2007 07:49 | KUALA LUMPUR (XFN-ASIA) - Hwang-DBS Investment Management Bhd is starting a global emerging markets fund in a tieup with the UK's Aberdeen Asset Management, the New Straits Times reported. The report said the 150 mln rgt fund is a feeder fund for the Aberdeen Global-Emerging Markets Fund. Hwang-DBS chief investment officer David Ng said: 'Even as emerging markets have risen so much in the past four years, valuations are still decent compared to the 1990s. Companies in Asia are also much stronger now.' | hectorp
11/1/2007 09:08 | I'm not so sure , they may be paying for what in 6 months could look expensive holdings...which MAY accont for yesterdays 6 point fall on the Malaysian news ( or conincidence)) -depends on if the markets take a downturn, or if the FAr EAst and China , and India, can support the weaker spell from the US. I suspect it will be a close thing. | hectorp
10/1/2007 10:10 | ADN has now completed an investment of 3 Billion in Malaysia. THey believe Malaysia has become a very much safer territory to be doing this large volume of business. The company is 10-11% invested in China and 12% in India ( already). | hectorp
01/1/2007 13:32 | Happy new year to all, and lang may your lum reek. | focus1800

12/12/2006 19:59 | Piedro, is tomorrow the cut off date to qualify for the xd ? | focus1800
12/12/2006 19:19 | admarky2 - personally, I have marked 187 as the resistance which is why I closed my position. I see 177p as the support and new entrance point if the 187 is not well breached tomorrow which it may not, tomorrow being xd. (Personal opinion and not intended as investment advice..... I really must learn how to put up charts) | piedro
12/12/2006 17:34 | I`m quite impressed with ADN, sold TLW holding and bought more ADN. | focus1800
11/12/2006 13:47 | don't look like it's gonna make it this time, so the resistance at 190 remains. | admarky2
11/12/2006 12:03 | if it closes like this today it would be a positive sign, 190 needs to be cleared then I think we are looking at some of those broker targets. gutted to have been stopped-out at 160 the other month, but think ADN is a good company now and rebuilding itself very nicely. | admarky2
11/12/2006 10:25 | hmmm my car's a Focus Ghia. ( bought by mistake)! - up we go again, which is nice. I'd not use any Tipsters, but I do follow Shares mag for 'ideas' eg sector articles , or whatever. In Shares Mag, they ran a good article on growth stocks, and I worked out that ABerdeen would be one of the 5-6 I'd look at . The rest is history now. though PS I also bought Helphire and St James' Place STJ on the SHares data plus my own research. | hectorp
10/12/2006 14:51 | Hector, i like British Bulls. I dont accept its word as written in stone, but as one part of information gathering. Like you, i bought just over a week ago when BB said buy and its risen over 8%. I had ADN on my watch list for a few months and thought their call was right so i bought. They base their decisions to buy sell or hold on volume buying and selling, but, they always say to do further research before you decide, but i accept its not everyones cup of tea. | focus1800 |
