20/9/2005 14:47 | IBS7491 If you look at ADN Chart carefully you can see a Pennant built up over last five days and confirmed break out of that pennant earlier, the inverted head and shoulders neckline is 106.00p to 100.50p meaning to me LSE:ADN is likely to go up 5.50p quite rapidly on break of 106.00p IMO Some pretty decent volume building up over last week or so to and today looks like quite a few 500,000 share orders being worked. Reckon this pullback to 103.75p to 104.00p support engineered on SETS Book is to fill yet more personally. All IMHO, NAG, DYOR etc Cheers Ash:) | mr ashley james

17/9/2005 12:57 | The price volatility I forecast has been evident since the shares went XR, with a high of c 110p and a low of c 97.5p. I suspect this will continue next week as institutions position themselves for the future. | networker
16/9/2005 16:08 | Most of the big holders are taking up the shares I understand. There has been a good run over the last 3 months. I see no reason to doubt a continuity in price but this is not a retail share. Everything is dictated by very big players. | rabbrooks
01/9/2005 18:09 | xchef Yes. Medium-term this looks an interesting investment proposition. Short term likely to be volatile as the sizeable rights issue shares are absorbed by the market. Nil Paid shares will accentuate this volatility during September as traders may well be dipping in and out. | networker
01/9/2005 10:45 | Any ideas are the ordinary shares adn worth buying at these prices.Pls. | xchef
01/9/2005 09:02 | I have discovered that the code for the new NIL paid shares is ADNN. They are quoted 37.5p..38p. Existing shareholders should be receiving Provisional Allotment Letters entitling them to 3 new shares for every 2 shares currently held on payment of 63p per share. | iroll
01/9/2005 08:24 | Extract from yesterdays statement following the EGM:..... "Shares marked ''ex-rights'' by the London Stock Exchange............ 8.00 a.m. on 1 September Admission and commencement of dealings in New Ordinary Shares, nil paid, on the London Stock Exchange .................... 8.00 a.m. on 1 September" Does anyone know the EPIC of the new Nil paid shares? | iroll

25/8/2005 09:24 | Piedro - yes. Or should that "yes" read "that's exactly what I've done"?! That's unless you have funds available to pay for more up-front. Tha's your choice... | napoleon 14th
24/8/2005 15:15 | Two Directors sold 20-30% of their holdings to partially finance the cost of taking up their rights. Should we follow their example? | piedro
11/8/2005 15:17 | 'Been thru' this before, thanks, Networker. It worked a treat for me with various in the past; LCI, QA., SEG & more. Doesn't every time, but ADN has deep discount to make things easier. To enjoy, you need a good profit on old shares, like 50% in 6 weeks; this one. What you do after the rights are tradable depends on what you see. Real cost of "new" = 63p Mkt. level.........."110p Profit ............. "47p" With 3k shares, profit = £1500, so sell less half & ride the rest cost free... What I get FIRST is profit from my buy while they're still 165p, & the cash to fund the roll-over 3 for 2 + diversify into something else. I was thinking long those lines after hearing market talk of worries clients would leave ADN...allegedly provoking slight recent pullback. Just musing... | napoleon 14th
11/8/2005 10:35 | napoleon Your maths doesn't stack up. After the shares go XR, your 'old' shares will be at a correspondingly lower price. Your tactic may still turn out to be correct, but don't be fooled by false accounting. Based on current price of 165p the adjusted XR price will be approx 104p, with the 'new' nil paid trading at about 40p premium. | networker
11/8/2005 09:27 | IMHO the right move is to sell the old shares after securing the rights at 63p. Can't really go wrong if you take 2,000 x 165p = £3300 for 2000 shares, & get 3,000 shares @ 63p (= £1890 to pay) in return. That's one thousand shares and £1410 up on current position. Cash risk down to £480 for 3,000 shares; 16p/share. Almost risk free. | napoleon 14th
08/8/2005 15:37 | Papers are saying the city is getting nervous about the amount of fund managers who will not come aboard with AAM.Think its time i took my profits. | focus1800
06/8/2005 09:17 | IT must be tempting to take good profits on ADN now. Was 175 the peak? Will private shareholders go along with the capital reconstruction?. The institutions dominate the share register so they will inevatibly take up the rights by the way the share price has reacted recently. It would be interesting to hear comments by contributers to this thread who have knowledge of the big picture. | rabbrooks
04/8/2005 15:42 | This share price looks like its heading back upto £7.00 mark, heres hoping we get back to the good old days soon.......... | yar121166
02/8/2005 12:35 | I've not yet seen a magazine that supports ADN. Been in since 58p. Nervewracking but worth it! | piedro
02/8/2005 00:33 | Shares magazine has Aberdeen as a sell..seems they think hard times ahead with 40% reduction in new issue | focus1800
