He's basically saying the best and latest techniques have been applied to this well which are expected to give the best possible outcome that a resource of this quality could ever be given. This is the best shale in one place the industry has ever come across, equal or better than the best recorded to date. The quality of expertise and tech that has been applied here is the best the industry has in the world today. No stone gone unturned. So imo he's saying have confidence we are giving it the best shot the industry has to give it. The shale and tech are of top quality so a combination of all these factors equates to a high chance of success beyond 50:50. If it flows expect it to flow well.

DW. Has made some strange comments in the last two RNS's as if he is expecting a significant result from this well but is trying to down play expectations going forward

'This increases the chance of a successful execution of the program but does not increase the likelihood of success for the play itself'

Any thoughts on this, the above extract is an example

Also watch him when he talks about what he's allowed to say and what he really wants to say......... :-)

hottingup (and everyone else)..........this is the reason I am invested here.

if you recall, PB and DW believe that the Icewine acreage on the North Slope is the sweet spot of the source for Prudhoe Bay.

Prudhoe Bay is the largest oilfield ever discovered in the US/North America at an estimated 25bn barrels.

if 98% of the original oil is still on their acreage.......well.......the numbers are truly mind-boggling.......

Edit: I should add that if you watch the recent presentation they gave, PB explicitly states that DW is preventing him from saying what he really wants to say about the potential size of the find at Icewine........

I asked a senior completion engineer from a big oil company to cast an eye over the RNs the feedback was They are going to perforate the rock so it must be hard, we have this in the likes of ######. That will mean cheaper development rather than soft sand.They will perforate then flow to clean up, two weeks is actually quite long so they must be confident something is there to get approval for that.

Just been researching 88E and can recommend this presentation from 20th Feb 2017. Its worth listening to it all as there is good information all the way through.



They have both large unconventional and conventional.
They only need 100 - 150 bopd initial flow to be successful, or less if they understand the reason and can address it with mitigating measures, so there is a good probability of success.
They think 98% of the original oil is still on their acreage and was prevented from migrating out.
