Using BPI's mid price of $59, I make the NAV 467p compared to tonight's close of 380p.



It might finally go to a premium again tomorrow. Plus, depending upon what Biden and Putin say, it could go higher. Of course, spot may fall tomorrow if sanctions on UF6 trade are not announced.

I wonder how long it's going to take for the traffic to this page and GCL to rise sharply.

It's remarkable that this story has gone largely unnoticed by most.

I understand Uranium was featured on CNBC today. Maybe it will make the financial pages of the press in the coming days.

The Biden administration is considering imposing sanctions on Russia’s state-owned atomic energy company, Rosatom Corp., a major supplier of fuel and technology to power plants around the world, according to people familiar with the matter.

No final decision has been made and the White House is consulting with the nuclear power industry about the potential impact, said the people, who were granted anonymity to discuss private deliberations.

Rosatom is a delicate target because the company and its subsidiaries account for about 35% of global uranium enrichment and has agreements to ship the nuclear fuel to countries across Europe. Any punishment would also have to exempt the work Rosatom does with Iran under the terms of the deal limiting the country’s nuclear program, which Biden is seeking to revive.

The longer this goes on and the more economic sanctions escalate, I think a stagflationary recession is getting nailed on.

Putin is yet to reply in kind to our sanctions.
Not sure if people have any idea of the possibilities. We have certainly made some heavy moves against Russia economically and I cant see him not wishing to reciprocate.

With the mid-price at $53.50, I make it that YCA's NAV has broken through the $1bn barrier, I think for the first time.



I make the NAV 424p, compared to today's close at 380p - a 10.5% discount.

YCA is a pure play on physical U3O8.

GCL is a fund investing primarily in miners. Some of its assets are also in YCA and SPUT, a similar physical fund in Canada.

The miners ought to be a geared play on the physical. So GCL should amplify the upside, but will also amplify the downside.

GCL also significantly smaller and less liquid than YCA.

It may not matter what Biden does. Putin banning export of raw materials and products from Russia until 31 December. Not clear if this includes enriched Uranium - UF6. Russia supplies about 20% of US and European enriched Uranium.

I would have thought the discount here would be wide enough to encourage some aggressive arbitrage to close the gap, but the discount still persists.

Chernobil the other nuclear power plant would make excellent cover for an arms/fuel dump or army base. They arent going to blow them up they will use them
