31/1/2022 08:59 | avsome1968, you need to look at some of the recent copper porphyry takeovers and then factor in the country they were in, when they happened and compare with what we have. We already know Bushranger is going to get much bigger. I have noted two below, both of which CB has previously mentioned as comparisons. Note the Hudbay takeover was almost a decade ago now. These giant long life copper mines are money making machines. Brasso3 - No, please see below. TORONTO, Dec. 20, 2021 /CNW/ - (TSX: LUN) (Nasdaq Stockholm: LUMI) Lundin Mining Corporation ("Lundin Mining" or the "Company") is pleased to announce it has entered into a definitive agreement (the "Arrangement Agreement") with Josemaria Resources Inc. ("Josemaria Resources") to acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of Josemaria Resources through a plan of arrangement (the "Transaction") for an implied equity value of approximately C$625 million (US$485 million). Mineral Reserves – Mineral Reserves are estimated by Josemaria Resources to be 1,012 Mt at an average grade of 0.30% copper, 0.22 g/t gold and 0.94 g/t silver, containing approximately 6.7 billion lb of copper, 7.0 million oz of gold and 30.7 million oz of silver estimated using a copper price of US$3.00/lb, gold price of US$1,500/oz and silver price of US$18.00/oz silver. The current Mineral Reserves support a 19-year operational life at the envisaged processing rate of an average of approximately 152,000 tpd. financialpost.com/co The Toronto-based miner unveiled a friendly deal on Monday to buy Augusta Resource Corp. for about $555-million in shares and warrants. And to the surprise of many observers, it only had to boost its original hostile bid by 10% to get the deal done. | the count of monte_cristo
31/1/2022 08:57 | Love the potential of XTR as muted takeout could be anything between 44p to 88p. Happy days/weeks/months ahead. | smraynot
31/1/2022 08:56 | Paps I was expecting an RNS this morning. The time is right given the solidity of the shareholder base, and the time is right in the sense that XTR have to deliver the news or investors will start to assume bad news. CB/XTR need to get this next phase right if the company is to obtain best value for Bushranger. | the diddymen
31/1/2022 08:49 | There is a bullish ascending triangle forming on the XTR chart jeanesy. RNS on the way today? | papillon
31/1/2022 08:46 | Don't no how you can say that till we have proved up resources, look at AMC 30 billion in the ground 100m offer ? you never get what you think its worth its what others are willing to pay, lets just prove up the resource first holes can change? | avsome1968
31/1/2022 08:42 | The Count I would expect that kind of buy out would require copper in the $5 - $6/ lb range? | brasso3
31/1/2022 08:40 | Taking into a account some of the things CB has said in that interview, I think we will see a sale for between 500m to a billion USD (44p to 88p a share) just my opinion. | the count of monte_cristo
31/1/2022 08:33 | Good morning! I was on holiday in Sanya and didn't have access to ADVFN. Some really positive stuff last week, progressing the metallurgical test work as well as an increased in the holding by Mr. Alex Terry. Don't worry, I will be here until take out at multiplies of todays share price Just listening to the CB interview from last week, I usually listen two or three times to make sure I pick up on everything.. | the count of monte_cristo
31/1/2022 08:33 | XTR has already broken the downward trend, retested and now should resume off. Need to break 6p to become uber bullish and start focusing on 10p. | brasso3
31/1/2022 08:31 | A strong start here this morning... chart looks good too with higher lows being reached ... looks like a coiled spring ! | jeanesy
30/1/2022 11:42 | Within the FTSE miners paid out dividends of £21bn out of a total of £94bn in 2021 (Source Investors Chronicle). Just a simple observation but FTSE miners (or equivalent) will need a constant stream of projects to feed the habit. | the diddymen
30/1/2022 10:30 | I've been through the XTR website and I've watched lots of interview videos. I've read all RNSs for the last few years. There are many assay results available from holes that have been drilled. There is definitely copper there (!!), but why isn't it enough to tempt the market to drive the share price higher? Is it really just a simple case that the market hasn't woken up?? Just too expensive to extract at that grade? When or what will be the tipping point here from drilling campaign to commercial discovery? CB seems to have a good track record. I wonder if the down ticker can instead spend their energy on the debate rather than on ticking;-) unless of course it is Ben T cheesed off that we dumped KAV for this. | pngasef
30/1/2022 10:26 | Arcadian you get the feeling that it has been long enough and XTR will release an orchestrated flow of news. The shareholder base has performed well in this recent volatile period and any half decent news will break the 6p barrier. Breaking the 6p barrier will in my view introduce another dynamic. Time to fetch the popcorn. | the diddymen
29/1/2022 21:44 | We both need to be grateful to those who have guided us here and shared their research opinions etc More drilling news over the next months will boost things but it`s relatively unknown. The political locational advantages are a strong plus point. All investments carry risk but this seems to have less than most given the finds to date. CB seems to be confident but maybe with $37 million he can afford to be. Our biggest risk now is that KAV find what they are looking for big time and I have to eat humble pie for jumping ship too soon.. | arcadian
29/1/2022 21:18 | Hi Arcadian, I also dumped KAV and bought in here. The odds seem much more favorable here. I don't understand why the share price isn't higher given the prospects. I just watched the vox markets videos from the part 6 months. The guys here seem to know what they are doing, come across as professional and this fills me with confidence. I'm going to grab more shares on Monday. | pngasef
29/1/2022 18:48 | Despite that he still seems to be batting for the ordinary shareholder although at his age this could well be a case of a grand finale as he bows out with a really good sale. Re Mo In that recent interview with Zak M while he didn`t wan`t`to play up the quantities he did emphasise that in his view Mo was geologically significant. I think it added to his feeling that Ascot is special. | arcadian
29/1/2022 16:26 | Colin Bird did rather well out of KIW (Kiwara). When the shares were suspended from AIM in January 2010, following the successful bid from First Quantum, the KIW share price was 77.50p. CB's shareholding in KIW was around 48m shares (47,940,000)! Worth almost £37m. No wonder he's got a young wife and lives in Dubai! lol | papillon
28/1/2022 17:22 | Good to see existing shareholders adding to their current holdings. In my view the substantive derisking of XTR has not been reflected in the share price, even with the market's general unease. | the diddymen
28/1/2022 16:59 | Perhaps the nearest we`ll get to an institutional investment. | arcadian
28/1/2022 16:18 | Ella10 has followed up the above post with the following : "I would have a small bet on it being him - although I have no idea what he's worth. IFC took a significant chunk in Kiwara - I can't remember the numbers but they didn't hold for that long before it was sold so I think they would have done quite well out if it. I assume he would know CB from then" Which ever is the actual Alex Terry, who is spending big on XTR shares, he's obviously not your common goforgold1 (a mug punter!) 😁 | papillon
28/1/2022 16:11 | The following has been posted by Ella10 on the lse bb (don't forget the conspiracy theorists on the ARCM bb think Ella10 has very close links to CB! 😁) "How about ? IFC took a chunk of Kiwara when they were developing kalumbila." | papillon
28/1/2022 15:56 | 👍 Arcadian | papillon
28/1/2022 15:28 | Good post Pap. Very apposite. CB in his last interview stressed the political/locational advantages of Bushranger and will want to use them to our advantage in any sale talks. | arcadian
28/1/2022 15:08 | Could be excellent news for XTR when they come to sell Australian Bushranger. They'll likely have a queue trying to buy it! 😁 | papillon
28/1/2022 12:57 | The following was just posted by Steve4077 on the lse bb "According to the link below, Alex Terry and Barclays Wealth are listed separately, so looks like they are held in his own name." PS EDIT: Is Peter Hall, who is also listed as a significant shareholder in XTR, the same Peter Hall who is Head of Wealth Management at Schroders? | papillon |
