There may be lawyers sitting behind the concept of a 'measured' Racecourse and an 'unmeasured' Ascot. It adds a number of dimensions to the agreement.

Swift and bold seems a pretty good motto for this one (borrowed from the Green Jackets according to Google)

I cannot believe that someone like CB would take such a strong outspoken stand re the sale offering to AA without being very sure that he could deliver a viable offering such that he would not be humiliated by their response.

'It will be for the buyer to find out just how big ascot is'

Which is what AA didnt want to do which is why they offloaded it in the first place.
The current share price says everything about value here without a measured JORC, no matter how many times certain people claim otherwise.
This is going to end up being virtually given away without a measured JORC. The markets verdict today is that XTR shares are over priced and so down we go, back to the 4's.

"I have seen on the boards that you will never sell it without a measured resource...you don't need a measured resource because it's game over by then!"

CB putting some of the people posting on the bb's in their place:)

The speculative element will really start to come in around April, with probably penny type rises as people start to speculate on what AA may do and what they may pay if they decide to buy Bushranger. IMHO.

It took CB 18 months to go from no resource to a very large resource and 270m USD sale of Kiwara back in 2009.

RE: Colin Bird Interview Today 08:50
Took a things from this:

'You don't need a degree from harvard to realise that the geophysics in ascot are the same as bushranger'

'Hoping to have all grades confirmed by April ready to update the models and get ready to present.'

'It will be for the buyer to find out just how big ascot is'

Every drill result or assay we now receive de-risks the project and adds considerable value as we progress towards the AA discussions. Look at BEM to see how quickly a share price can move, up 300% in a few months.

Nice and clear interview today. Now we know in the next 6 months XTR will be in someone's shopping basket. Nice.

PAP
Congratulations, avsome1968. Your recent purchase of ARCM shares looks to have been well timed. Up 13% on no news; well, no official news (no RNS issued).
Is it just a dead cat bounce (ARCM share price was technically oversold), or the start of a rerate? I hope, for your sake, it's the latter, but I still have my doubts. bwtfdik?

PAP every time its dropped around 2.4p buyer appears in 1m blocks then price moved up 2.7-2.9p range so someone taking advantage of the sellers, I topped up again at 2.5p feel very confident we will be back up to 6p range after court case.

£450k isn't too shabby at all. It'll help pay the overheads and stave off the prospect of an equity raise. With all these Africa revenues I see why CB was so dismissive of placing talk. Now for some Oz news to light the touch paper.

AAL have been selling their coal assets to get out of these businesses and have this stated goal and target to increase their green credentials. They are also on the look out for very large, long-life copper assets. Now, what better asset to acquire than a new, huge, long-life copper asset in Australia next to ready infrastructure. It's not an "if" question for me but a "when" question and also a "how", as in how much are they going to pay for Bushranger. You only need to be correct a few times in the stock market to become very wealthy.

Once Fairbride comes online we should be generating some meaningful cash flow, taking a bit longer than planned but it's not far away now. The below is from the Oct 21 ppt

- Aim to initially produce 215k ounces gold at 2.62g/t Au over 7
years (30,000 ounces per annum)

- Annual expected income for Xtract is estimated at about US$6-7million

Excellent news. Should be sufficient enough to fund their drilling in Australia?

Sourced from the LSE bb.

I note some posters on the LSE bb have been asking why AA passed up on Bushranger originally, not to sound arrogant but those posters need to read about some of the most spectacular copper/gold/oil finds in the last 100 years. They are littered with similar examples of near misses, fortunes which could have been made, company makers for small unknown tiddlers which eventually went on to become global powerhouses or went bust. It's why the resource industry and exploration stocks are so interesting. Some of the great copper mines in Canada were discovered by chance, when the railways were being built and observant engineers saw copper in the rocks blasted out by the railways. Another large mine was found when two geologists were hunting for rabbits, they shot a rabbit only to find next to it some rocks filled with copper!

You can read about how David Lowell discovered El Escondida (The Hidden one) in his amazing book "Intrepid Explorer", the area was drilled by something like 8 different companies with some of the drills just missing the ore body. Escondida is the daddy of all copper mines. Then David Lowell came on the scene, understood the geology better than the others and drilled the ore body, I seem to recall he was actually running out of money and people were losing patience with him. That's how it works sometimes. As a side note David Lowell put together the exploration projects for Solaris Resources, who are now delivering world class drill results from Warintza. It's why one should back serial mine finders with proven track records.

The XTR sp, as a speculative AIM share, is completely news driven. Without an RNS the share price will drift downwards unless there is stake building, but that wasn't apparent today. Par for the course unfortunately. Shareholders will just have to be patient and await the next RNS.
