Will be difficult to recommend an offer at what would effectively be at no premium, particularly when China reopening is bullish for freight. On the other hand, they have a blocking stake so unlikely to see a competing offer unless at a massive premium, which is unlikely. Personally I’d be inclined to vote for the TO at 50p to get this illiquid stock off my hands.

Gleach - Great news! The company has reached 40% of its 1 billion target turnover. With similar earning companies in the market, it won't be long before this goal is achieved. The board is likely already aware of this and may receive offers from the market for a merger or acquisition, which would strengthen its position against the current low offer from the majority shareholders.

This offer is just an annoyance now and holding it back. There’s no way I’m letting go of my shares. I expect either the board not agreeing to it and the bid being withdrawn or a significantly enhanced offer

Gleach - i spotted that too! The £8m was from 30 June’22 but in Nov TU still forecasting the same, so Q4 must have been storming as they say. Reading between the lines with my CFO hat on they have squeezed/ recognised as much revenue into Q4 as possible (using correcting revenue recognition standards of course) to be able to renegotiate the offer. As others have mentioned there must be an additional £2-3m of PBT over the £9m to be able to halve net debt.

Whilst it appears to be great news, slightly curious that at the start of November they forecast y/e debt @ £8m and it came in at £3.6m!

We're being ripped off at 42p. Minimum 70p. IMHO.

Dividend may also be resuming.

Surely not a chance this bid succeeds now? Assuming 'significantly ahead' means £12-15m then this is trading on a current year PE of about 4?!

Extended, glad it hasn’t been finalised as opportunistic bid far too low.

blackbear - I fully agree in this inflation environment the company is well insulated to handle the upward price challenges mainly in a positive way IMO

Not bothered if they don't make an offer maybe drop to 35p but onwards and upwards from there.

Let's hope another suitor gets wind of this opportunity and lets the bidding for the company commence surely the current board can find other prime investors in Europe as well?

Gleach23 > fully agree interesting month ahead otherwise the original majority owner (Stephen Blyth) may steal the path back to pick a real winner by taking it private and then doing the necessary steps to become a 1B turnover player in the forwarding business in Eu.
